The Lamborghini Temerario has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The GT-R doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Temerario offers optional Autonomous Emergency Brake, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The GT-R doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The Temerario’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane. The GT-R doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

The Temerario offers an optional 360 degree parking monitor to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The GT-R only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

The Temerario’s optional blind spot warning system uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. The GT-R doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Temerario’s optional Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side and automatically engage the brakes. The GT-R doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

Both the Temerario and the GT-R have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

The Temerario comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The GT-R’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The Temerario’s corrosion warranty is 7 years longer than the GT-R’s (12 vs. 5 years).

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance on the Temerario for 5 years and 75000 miles. Lamborghini will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 5 visits). Nissan doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the GT-R.

The Temerario’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 342 more horsepower (907 vs. 565) and 123 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 467) than the GT-R’s standard 3.8 turbo V6. The Temerario’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 307 more horsepower (907 vs. 600) and 109 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 481) than the GT-R NISMO’s standard 3.8 turbo V6.

Regenerative brakes improve the Temerario’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The GT-R doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

An eight-speed automatic (SMG) is standard on the Lamborghini Temerario, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a six-speed automatic is available for the GT-R.

For better traction and acceleration, the Temerario has larger rear tires than the GT-R (325/30R21 vs. 285/35R20).

The Temerario’s 255/35R20 front and 325/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the GT-R’s standard 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Temerario has standard 21-inch rear wheels. Only 20-inch wheels are available on the GT-R.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Temerario is 5 inches wider in the front and 2.7 inches wider in the rear than the average track on the GT-R.

The Temerario’s power parking brake sets with one touch and releases with one touch or automatically. The GT-R has a lever-type parking brake that has to be strenuously raised to engage properly. It has to be lifted up more and a button depressed to release it.

The Temerario’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The GT-R’s intermittent wipers change speed with vehicle speed, but can’t turn on and off or change speed based on changing rainfall.

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors standard on the Temerario detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The GT-R doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

Optional air-conditioned seats in the Temerario keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The GT-R doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Temerario offers an optional Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The GT-R doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.
