The Lamborghini Temerario has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The 812 doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Temerario offers optional Autonomous Emergency Brake, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The 812 doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The Temerario has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The 812 doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The Temerario’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane. The 812 doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

The Temerario offers an optional 360 degree parking monitor to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The 812 only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Temerario’s optional Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side and automatically engage the brakes. The 812 doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

The Temerario has standard GPS Response System, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The 812 doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Temerario and the 812 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and available blind spot warning systems.

The Temerario’s corrosion warranty is 9 years longer than the 812’s (12 vs. 3 years).

The Temerario’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 118 more horsepower (907 vs. 789) and 60 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 530) than the 812’s 6.5 DOHC V12.

Regenerative brakes improve the Temerario’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The 812 doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

An eight-speed automatic (SMG) is standard on the Lamborghini Temerario, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only a seven-speed automatic is available for the 812.

All wheel drive, available in the Temerario, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Ferrari 812 is not available with all wheel drive.

The Temerario’s 325/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the 812’s standard 35 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Temerario has standard 21-inch rear wheels. Only 20-inch wheels are available on the 812.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Temerario is 2 inches wider in the front and .9 inches wider in the rear than on the 812.

The Temerario’s front power windows open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The 812’s front passenger window doesn’t close automatically.

The Temerario’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The 812’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.

While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors standard on the Temerario detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The 812 doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.

Optional air-conditioned seats in the Temerario keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The 812 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Temerario offers an optional Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The 812 doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.

The Temerario’s standard separate stalk mounted cruise control on/off switch is conveniently located with the rest of the cruise controls. The 812’s standard cruise control must be turned on with a hard to find switch on the dashboard.
