Safety

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the Temerario. But it costs extra on the Mercedes AMG GT.

The Temerario’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the Mercedes AMG GT.

Both the Temerario and the Mercedes AMG GT have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras, available crash mitigating brakes, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

Warranty

The Temerario comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The AMG GT’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The Temerario’s corrosion warranty is 7 years longer than the Mercedes AMG GT’s (12 vs. 5 years).

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance on the Temerario for 5 years and 75000 miles. Lamborghini will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 5 visits). Mercedes doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the AMG GT.

Engine

The Temerario’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 491 more horsepower (907 vs. 416) and 221 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 369) than the Mercedes AMG GT 43’s standard 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder hybrid. The Temerario’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 438 more horsepower (907 vs. 469) and 74 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 516) than the Mercedes AMG GT 55’s standard 4.0 turbo V8. The Temerario’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 330 more horsepower (907 vs. 577) than the Mercedes AMG GT 63 4MATIC+’s standard 4.0 turbo V8. The Temerario’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 102 more horsepower (907 vs. 805) than the Mercedes AMG GT 63 S E Performance’s standard 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid.

Brakes and Stopping

For better stopping power the Temerario’s standard brake rotors are larger than those on the Mercedes AMG GT:

Front Rotors

16.1 inches

15.4 inches

Rear Rotors

15.4 inches

14.2 inches

Tires and Wheels

For better traction and acceleration, the Temerario has larger rear tires than the Mercedes AMG GT (325/30R21 vs. 285/40R19). The Temerario’s rear tires are larger than the largest rear tires available on the Mercedes AMG GT (325/30R21 vs. 305/30R20).

The Temerario’s 255/35R20 front and 325/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Mercedes AMG GT 43’s 45 series front and 40 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Temerario has standard 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Mercedes AMG GT 43.

Suspension and Handling

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Temerario is 1.9 inches wider in the front and .1 inches wider in the rear than the average track on the Mercedes AMG GT.

Chassis

The Lamborghini Temerario may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 600 pounds less than the Mercedes AMG GT.

Ergonomics

The Temerario’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Mercedes AMG GT does not have an oil pressure gauge.
