The Temerario offers optional Autonomous Emergency Brake, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The Artura doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The Temerario has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Artura doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The Temerario’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the Artura.

The Temerario’s optional blind spot warning system uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. The Artura doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Temerario’s optional Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side and automatically engage the brakes. The Artura doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

The Temerario has standard GPS Response System, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Artura doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Temerario and the Artura have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available around view monitors.

The Temerario’s corrosion warranty is 2 years longer than the Artura’s (12 vs. 10 years).

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance (up to 5 visits) on the Temerario for 2 years and 48000 miles longer than McLaren pays for maintenance for the Artura (5/75000 vs. 3/27000).

The Temerario’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 216 more horsepower (907 vs. 691) and 59 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 531) than the Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid.

All wheel drive, available in the Temerario, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The McLaren Artura is not available with all wheel drive.

For better traction, the Temerario has larger tires than the Artura (F:255/35R20 & R:325/30R21 vs. F:235/35R19 & R:295/35R20).

The Temerario’s 325/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Artura’s standard 35 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Temerario has standard 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. Only 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels are available on the Artura.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Temerario is 2.8 inches wider in the front and 2.2 inches wider in the rear than on the Artura.

The Temerario’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (43.4% to 56.6%) than the Artura’s (41.9% to 58.1%). This gives the Temerario more stable handling and braking.

A standard locking glovebox keeps your small valuables safer in the Temerario. The Artura doesn’t offer locking storage for small valuables.

The Temerario’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Artura does not have an oil pressure gauge.

Optional air-conditioned seats in the Temerario keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The Artura doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.
