Tires and Wheels
The F-Pace SVR’s optional 295/35R22 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the GV80 Coupe’s optional 40 series tires.
Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires available on the F-Pace can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.
The F-Pace offers an optional full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the GV80 Coupe; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.
Suspension and Handling
The F-Pace SVR handles at .89 G’s, while the GV80 3.5 e-Supercharger pulls only .81 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.
The F-Pace SVR executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.2 seconds quicker than the GV80 3.5 e-Supercharger (25 seconds @ .77 average G’s vs. 27.2 seconds @ .66 average G’s).
For greater off-road capability the F-Pace has a greater minimum ground clearance than the GV80 Coupe (8.4 vs. 8.1 inches), allowing the F-Pace to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The F-Pace SVR’s minimum ground clearance is .5 inch higher than on the GV80 Coupe (8.6 vs. 8.1 inches).
Chassis
The Jaguar F-Pace may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 600 to 1150 pounds less than the Genesis GV80 Coupe.
The F-Pace is 8.6 inches shorter than the GV80 Coupe, making the F-Pace easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.
Cargo Capacity
The F-Pace has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the GV80 Coupe with its rear seat up (32.1 vs. 29.3 cubic feet). The F-Pace has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the GV80 Coupe with its rear seat folded (70.4 vs. 61.1 cubic feet).
A low lift-over cargo hatch design makes loading and unloading the F-Pace easier. The F-Pace’s cargo hatch lift-over height is 30.5 inches, while the GV80 Coupe’s liftover is 31.6 inches.
Towing
Standard Trailer Stability Assist on the F-Pace uses the Dynamic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.
Ergonomics
If the windows are left open on the F-Pace the driver can close them all at the outside door handle. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows at the outside door handle or from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the GV80 Coupe can’t use the remote to operate the windows.
Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the F-Pace to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.
To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the F-Pace has a standard rear wiper. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer a rear wiper.
In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The F-Pace SVR has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The GV80 Coupe doesn’t offer headlight washers.
