The Panamera’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Flying Spur doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the Panamera and the Flying Spur have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, available all wheel drive, night vision systems and around view monitors.

The Panamera comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Flying Spur’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

The Panamera’s corrosion warranty is 9 years longer than the Flying Spur’s (12 vs. 3 years).

There are over 4 times as many Porsche dealers as there are Bentley dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Panamera’s warranty.

Regardless of its engine, regenerative brakes improve the Panamera’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. Bentley only offers a regenerative brake system on the Flying Spur Hybrid.

The Panamera’s standard fuel tank has 2.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the Flying Spur (23.7 vs. 21 gallons).

For better stopping power the Panamera 4S/Turbo CCB’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the Flying Spur:

The Panamera offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The Flying Spur doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

The Panamera stops much shorter than the Flying Spur:

For better maneuverability, the Panamera’s turning circle is 1.7 feet tighter than the Flying Spur’s (39 feet vs. 40.7 feet).

The Porsche Panamera may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 500 to 1550 pounds less than the Bentley Flying Spur.

The Panamera is 10.4 inches shorter than the Flying Spur, making the Panamera easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Panamera’s available rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Flying Spur doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.

Standard Trailer Stability Management on the Panamera uses the Porsche Stability Management sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Flying Spur doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

The Panamera’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Flying Spur does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The Porsche Panamera has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located on the rear view mirror. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Bentley charges extra for Homelink® on the Flying Spur.

The Panamera is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Flying Spur doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
