The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The VF 8 doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The VinFast VF 8 doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

Both the Q4 e-tron Sportback and VF 8 have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Q4 e-tron Sportback has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The VF 8’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

Both the Q4 e-tron Sportback and VF 8 have rear cross-traffic warning, but the Q4 e-tron Sportback has Automatic Brake Activation (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The VF 8’s Rear Cross Traffic Alert doesn’t automatically brake.

Both the Q4 e-tron Sportback and the VF 8 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

The Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback achieved a “Top Safety Pick” rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for the 2024 model year. This recognition was based on its impressive performance in the small overlap frontal crash test, updated side impact crash test, headlight evaluations, and pedestrian crash prevention testing. The VF 8 has not yet been evaluated by the IIHS for 2024.

The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s corrosion warranty is 2 years and unlimited miles longer than the VF 8’s (12/unlimited vs. 10/125000).

There are over 76 times as many Audi dealers as there are VinFast dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Q4 e-tron Sportback’s warranty.

The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s electric motors produces 132 lbs.-ft. more torque (501 vs. 369) than the VF 8 Eco’s standard electric motors. The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s electric motors produces 44 lbs.-ft. more torque (501 vs. 457) than the VF 8 Plus’ standard electric motors.

The Q4 55 e-tron Sportback can travel longer on a full charge than the VF 8 Plus (258 miles vs. 243 miles).

For better traction, the Q4 e-tron Sportback has larger tires than the VF 8 (F:235/50R20 & R:255/45R20 vs. 225/55R19).

The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s standard 235/50R20 front and 255/45R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series front and 45 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the VF 8 Eco’s standard 55 series tires. The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s optional 255/40R21 rear tires have a lower 40 series profile than the VF 8 Plus’ 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Q4 e-tron Sportback has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the VF 8 Eco. The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s optional 21-inch wheels are larger than the 20-inch wheels on the VF 8 Plus.

For superior ride and handling, the Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback has fully independent front and rear suspensions. An independent suspension allows the wheels to follow the road at the best angle for gripping the pavement, without compromising ride comfort. The VinFast VF 8 has a rear torsion beam axle, with a semi-independent rear suspension.

For better maneuverability, the Q4 e-tron Sportback’s turning circle is 2.9 feet tighter than the VF 8’s (37.7 feet vs. 40.6 feet).

The Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 700 to 750 pounds less than the VinFast VF 8.

The Q4 e-tron Sportback is 6.3 inches shorter than the VF 8, making the Q4 e-tron Sportback easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

For excellent aerodynamics, the Q4 e-tron Sportback has standard flush composite headlights. The VF 8 has recessed headlights that spoil its aerodynamic shape and create extra drag.

The Q4 e-tron Sportback has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the VF 8 with its rear seat up (26.1 vs. 13.2 cubic feet). The Q4 e-tron Sportback has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the VF 8 with its rear seat folded (54.4 vs. 48.4 cubic feet).

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Q4 e-tron Sportback Prestige has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The VF 8 doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Q4 e-tron Sportback’s power mirror controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The VF 8’s power mirror controls are embedded in the infotainment system, seriously distracting drivers who have to adjust them while driving.

The Q4 e-tron Sportback Premium Plus/Prestige’s Park Steering Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, with the driver only controlling speed with the brake pedal. The VF 8 doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
