The Q4 e-tron’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Countryman SE doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Audi Q4 e-tron are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The MINI Countryman SE doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

Both the Q4 e-tron and Countryman SE have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Q4 e-tron has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The Countryman SE’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

Both the Q4 e-tron and the Countryman SE have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, post-collision automatic braking systems, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

The Audi Q4 e-tron achieved a “Top Safety Pick” rating from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for the 2024 model year. This recognition was based on its impressive performance in the small overlap frontal crash test, updated side impact crash test, headlight evaluations, and pedestrian crash prevention testing. The Countryman SE has not yet been evaluated by the IIHS for 2024.

There are over 3 times as many Audi dealers as there are MINI dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Q4 e-tron’s warranty.

The Q4 45 e-tron’s standard electric motor produces 49 lbs.-ft. more torque (413 vs. 364) than the Countryman SE’s electric motors. The Q4 55 e-tron’s standard electric motors produces 27 more horsepower (335 vs. 308) and 137 lbs.-ft. more torque (501 vs. 364) than the Countryman SE’s electric motors.

For better traction, the Q4 e-tron has larger tires than the Countryman SE (F:235/55R19 & R:255/50R19 vs. 225/55R18).

The Q4 e-tron’s standard 255/50R19 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Countryman SE’s standard 55 series tires. The Q4 e-tron 55 e-tron’s optional 255/40R21 rear tires have a lower 40 series profile than the Countryman SE’s optional 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Q4 e-tron has standard 19-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the Countryman SE. The Q4 e-tron 55 e-tron’s optional 21-inch wheels are larger than the 19-inch wheels optional on the Countryman SE.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Q4 e-tron’s wheelbase is 2.7 inches longer than on the Countryman SE (108.7 inches vs. 106 inches).

For better maneuverability, the Q4 e-tron 45’s turning circle is 5.2 feet tighter than the Countryman SE’s (33.5 feet vs. 38.7 feet). The Q4 e-tron 50’s turning circle is 1 foot tighter than the Countryman SE’s (37.7 feet vs. 38.7 feet).

The Q4 e-tron has .8 inches more front legroom, 1 inch more front shoulder room, .9 inches more rear headroom, 2.1 inches more rear legroom and .3 inches more rear shoulder room than the Countryman SE.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Q4 e-tron to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Countryman SE doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Q4 e-tron Prestige has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Countryman SE doesn’t offer headlight washers.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Q4 e-tron has standard extendable sun visors. The Countryman SE doesn’t offer extendable visors.

Compared to the MINI Countryman SE, the Audi Q4 e-tron eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries with its optional integrated Homelink® universal remote controlled from the infotainment system.

The Q4 e-tron is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Countryman SE doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
