The Range Rover’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The VF 9 doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

When descending a steep, off-road slope, the Range Rover’s standard Hill Descent Control allows you to creep down safely. The VF 9 doesn’t offer Hill Descent Control.

Both the Range Rover and VF 9 have rear cross-traffic warning, but the Range Rover has Rear Traffic Braking (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The VF 9’s Rear Cross Traffic Alert doesn’t automatically brake.

Both the Range Rover and the VF 9 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Range Rover’s corrosion warranty is unlimited miles longer than the VF 9’s (unlimited vs. 125000 miles).

There are almost 51 times as many Land Rover dealers as there are VinFast dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Range Rover’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates rated the Range Rover third among large premium suvs in their 2024 Initial Quality Study. The VF 9 isn’t in the top three in its category.

The Range Rover P530’s standard 4.4 turbo V8 produces 121 more horsepower (523 vs. 402) and 96 lbs.-ft. more torque (553 vs. 457) than the VF 9’s electric motors. The Range Rover P550e’s standard 3.0 turbo/supercharged 6-cylinder hybrid produces 141 more horsepower (543 vs. 402) than the VF 9’s electric motors. The Range Rover SV’s standard 4.4 turbo V8 produces 204 more horsepower (606 vs. 402) and 96 lbs.-ft. more torque (553 vs. 457) than the VF 9’s electric motors.

The Range Rover P550e’s maximum EPA estimated range on a full tank and a full charge is 469 miles, after which it can be refueled at any gas station in minutes. The VF 9’s range is only 291 to 330 miles, after which the minimum time to recharge is 35 minutes for only a 70% charge at a specially configured quick charge station not available in most areas. A full recharge at a professionally installed 220-volt charging station can take up to 15 hours.

The Range Rover’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The VF 9 doesn’t offer launch control.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Range Rover has standard 21-inch wheels. Smaller 20-inch wheels are standard on the VF 9. The Range Rover’s optional 23-inch wheels are larger than the 22-inch wheels optional on the VF 9.

The Range Rover offers an optional full size spare tire so a flat doesn’t interrupt your trip. A full size spare isn’t available on the VF 9; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

The Range Rover offers active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The VF 9 doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The front and rear suspension of the Range Rover uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the VF 9, which uses coil springs in front. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The Range Rover offers an available active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. VinFast doesn’t offer an active suspension on the VF 9.

The Range Rover has a standard driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The VF 9’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Range Rover has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Range Rover’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The VF 9 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The Range Rover’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The VF 9 doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

For greater off-road capability the Range Rover has a 4.2 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the VF 9 (11.6 vs. 7.4 inches), allowing the Range Rover to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The Land Rover Range Rover may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 500 to 1200 pounds less than the VinFast VF 9.

The Range Rover uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The VF 9 doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Range Rover’s middle and third row seats recline. The VF 9’s third row seats don’t recline.

Flexibility is maximized at the game, campground or a drive-in theatre in the Range Rover when its optional tailgating rear seats are deployed, allowing people to sit facing out of the tailgate. (Do not use while vehicle is in motion.) The VF 9 doesn’t offer tailgating seats.

The Range Rover’s rear cargo window opens separately from the rest of the tailgate door to allow quicker loading of small packages. The VF 9’s rear cargo window doesn’t open.

The Range Rover’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the VF 9’s (7715 vs. 3968 pounds). Maximum trailer towing in the VinFast VF 9 is only 3968 pounds. The Range Rover offers up to a 8200 lbs. towing capacity.

Standard Trailer Stability Assist (TSA) on the Range Rover uses the Dynamic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The VF 9 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the VF 9 Plus, the Range Rover has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Range Rover’s standard Passive Keyless Entry allow you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, open the cargo door, and start the vehicle, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Passive Entry standard on the VF 9 doesn’t offer a sensor on the rear doors, so you’ll have to reach a front handle to unlock the rear door.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the Range Rover to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The VF 9 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Range Rover has a standard rear speed-sensitive intermittent wiper with a full on position. The rear wiper standard on the VF 9 only has an intermittent setting, so in a hard rain visibility isn’t as good.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Range Rover has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The VF 9 doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The VF 9 Plus’ cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The Range Rover’s optional adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.

To better shield the driver’s vision, the Range Rover has a standard driver’s side dual-element sun visor that can block glare from two directions simultaneously (Range Rover also offers optional passenger side dual sun visors). The VF 9 doesn’t offer a secondary sun visor.

The Land Rover Range Rover has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located on the rear view mirror. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. VinFast charges extra for Homelink® on the VF 9.

The Range Rover has a 115-volt a/c outlet on the center console, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The VF 9 doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.
