The Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid XSE offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The EX30 doesn’t offer a heads-up display.
The Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The EX30’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.
To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid XSE offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The EX30 doesn’t offer cornering lights.
To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid has standard extendable sun visors. The EX30 doesn’t offer extendable visors.
The Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid’s power mirror controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The EX30’s power mirror controls are embedded in the infotainment system, seriously distracting drivers who have to adjust them while driving.
The Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid has standard heated front seats. Heated front seats cost extra on the EX30. The Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid also offers optional heated rear seats to keep those passengers extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated rear seats aren’t available in the EX30.
Optional air-conditioned seats in the Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid XSE keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The EX30 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.
The Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid has a standard center folding armrest for the rear passengers. A center armrest helps make rear passengers more comfortable and it can provide a boundary between children. The EX30 doesn’t offer a rear seat center armrest.
The Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid has a standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. Dual zone air conditioning is only available on the EX30 Plus/Ultra.
Both the Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid and the EX30 offer rear vents. For greater rear passenger comfort, the Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid has standard rear air conditioning vents to keep rear occupants cool in summer or warm in winter. The EX30 doesn’t offer rear air conditioning vents, only heat vents.
The Rav4 Plug-In Hybrid XSE offers an optional 115-volt a/c outlet in the cargo area, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The EX30 doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.
