For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Nissan Armada are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Land Rover Range Rover doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the Armada are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The Range Rover doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

The Nissan Armada has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles. Coverage on the Range Rover ends after only 4 years or 50,000 miles.

Nissan pays for scheduled maintenance on the Armada for 2 years and 24,000 miles. Nissan will pay for oil changes, tire rotations, air filter replacements, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 3 visits). Land Rover doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Range Rover.

There are over 5 times as many Nissan dealers as there are Land Rover dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Armada’s warranty.

The Armada’s 3.5 turbo V6 produces 31 more horsepower (425 vs. 394) and 110 lbs.-ft. more torque (516 vs. 406) than the Range Rover P400’s standard 3.0 turbo/supercharged 6-cylinder hybrid.

To lower fuel costs and make buying fuel easier, the Nissan Armada uses regular unleaded gasoline (premium recommended for maximum performance). The Range Rover requires premium, which can cost on average about 84.9 cents more per gallon.

The Armada has 4.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the Range Rover 550e PHEV’s standard fuel tank (23.6 vs. 18.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Armada’s liftgate lifts up in one piece, completely out of the way of loading and unloading, while sheltering the cargo loading area. The Range Rover’s tailgate’s top part raises up, but the bottom part lowers, getting in the way of loading and making an uneven surface for sliding cargo.

The Armada’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Range Rover’s (8500 vs. 8200 pounds).

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the Armada has standard extendable sun visors. The Range Rover doesn’t offer extendable visors.

The Armada is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Range Rover doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
