For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Volvo EX30 are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The VinFast VF 8 doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the EX30 are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The VF 8 doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

The EX30 has a standard Whiplash Protection System (WHIPS), which use a specially designed seat to protect the driver and front passenger from whiplash. The EX30’s corrosion warranty is 2 years and unlimited miles longer than the VF 8’s (12/unlimited vs. 10/125000).

Volvo pays for scheduled maintenance on the EX30 for 3 years and 30,000 miles. Volvo will pay for tire rotations, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. VinFast doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the VF 8.

There are almost 71 times as many Volvo dealers as there are VinFast dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the EX30’s warranty.

The EX30’s standard electric motors produces 73 more horsepower (422 vs. 349) and 31 lbs.-ft. more torque (400 vs. 369) than the VF 8 Eco’s standard electric motors.

An independent suspension allows the wheels to follow the road at the best angle for gripping the pavement, without compromising ride comfort. The VinFast VF 8 has a rear torsion beam axle, with a semi-independent rear suspension.

For better maneuverability, the EX30’s turning circle is 5.5 feet tighter than the VF 8’s (35.1 feet vs. 40.6 feet).

The Volvo EX30 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1400 to 1550 pounds less than the VinFast VF 8.

The EX30 is 1 foot, 8.3 inches shorter than the VF 8, making the EX30 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

For excellent aerodynamics, the EX30 has standard flush composite headlights. The VF 8 has recessed headlights that spoil its aerodynamic shape and create extra drag.

Standard Trailer Stability Assist on the EX30 uses the Dynamic Stability and Traction Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The VF 8 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

The EX30 Ultra’s Park Pilot Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The VF 8 doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
