Compare the2025 Cadillac Escalade-VVS 2024 Ferrari Purosangue

In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the Escalade-V are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The Purosangue doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Escalade-V has standard Reverse Automatic Braking that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The Purosangue doesn’t offer backup collision prevention brakes.

A passive infrared night vision system standard on the Escalade-V helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Purosangue doesn’t offer a night vision system.

The Escalade-V has a standard HD Surround Vision to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The Purosangue only offers a rear monitor.

Both the Escalade-V and Purosangue have Rear Cross Traffic Alert, but the Escalade-V has Rear Cross Traffic Braking (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The Purosangue’s Rear Cross Traffic Alert doesn’t automatically brake.

The Cadillac Escalade-V weighs 1879 to 2037 pounds more than the Ferrari Purosangue. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

The Escalade-V comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck. The Purosangue’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

Cadillac’s powertrain warranty covers the Escalade-V 3 years longer than Ferrari covers the Purosangue. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Coverage on the Purosangue ends after only 3 years.

The Escalade-V’s corrosion warranty is 3 years longer than the Purosangue’s (6 vs. 3 years).

There are over 14 times as many Cadillac dealers as there are Ferrari dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Escalade-V’s warranty.

The Purosangue’s redline is at 8250 RPM, which causes more engine wear, and a greater chance of a catastrophic engine failure. The Escalade-V has a 6600 RPM redline.

The Escalade-V has a standard “limp home system” to keep drivers from being stranded if most or all of the engine’s coolant is lost. The engine will run on only half of its cylinders at a time, reduce its power and light a warning lamp on the dashboard so the driver can get to a service station for repairs. The Purosangue doesn’t offer a lost coolant limp home mode, so a coolant leak could strand you or seriously damage the truck’s engine.

The Escalade-V’s 6.2 supercharged V8 produces 125 lbs.-ft. more torque (653 vs. 528) than the Purosangue’s 6.5 DOHC V12.

On the EPA test cycle the Escalade-V gets better fuel mileage than the Purosangue (11 city/17 hwy vs. 11 city/15 hwy).

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Escalade-V’s fuel efficiency. The Purosangue doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Escalade-V has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. A 10-speed automatic is standard on the Cadillac Escalade-V, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only an eight-speed automatic is available for the Purosangue.

The Cadillac Escalade-V’s wheels have 6 lugs for longer wheel bearing life, less chance of rotor warping and greater strength. The Ferrari Purosangue only has 5 wheel lugs per wheel.

The Escalade-V has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Purosangue doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

The front and rear suspension of the Escalade-V uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Purosangue, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Escalade-V’s wheelbase is 2.1 inches longer than on the Purosangue (120.9 inches vs. 118.8 inches).

The front grille of the Escalade-V uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Purosangue doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Escalade-V uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The Purosangue doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

The Escalade-V ESV offers optional seating for 8 passengers; the Purosangue can only carry 4. The Escalade-V has standard seating for 7.

The Escalade-V has 71.4 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Purosangue (168.4 vs. 97).

To make loading groceries and cargo easier when your hands are full, the Escalade-V’s liftgate can be opened just by waiting momentarily behind the back bumper, leaving your hands completely free. The Purosangue doesn’t offer a hands-free gesture to open its liftgate, forcing you to put cargo down if your hands are full.

The Escalade-V has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Purosangue doesn’t offer a remote starting system.

The Escalade-V has a standard heads-up display that projects speed, warning, navigation instruction and infotainment readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The Purosangue doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

The Escalade-V’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The Purosangue’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Escalade-V has a standard rear wiper. The Purosangue doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

The Cadillac Escalade-V has power folding mirrors that offer unparalleled convenience while maneuvering in tight places or parked. With the mirrors folded it’s easier to walk past and help prevent parking damage. The mirrors can be quickly unfolded when the driver is ready to leave. Power folding mirrors are not standard on all versions of the Purosangue.

The Escalade-V has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the Purosangue.

The Cadillac Escalade-V has a standard Homelink wireless remote control system for garage door operation and device management, conveniently located on the overhead console. Homelink® eliminates the need for separate garage door openers and associated risks of losing, breaking, or having dead batteries. Ferrari charges extra for Homelink® on the Purosangue.

The Escalade-V’s Adaptive Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, stopping and changing direction automatically. The Purosangue doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
