For enhanced safety, the front and rear seat shoulder belts of the Jeep Wagoneer S have pretensioners to tighten the seatbelts and eliminate dangerous slack in the event of a collision and force limiters to limit the pressure the belts will exert on the passengers. The Cadillac Escalade IQ doesn’t offer pretensioners for its second-row seat belts.

Both the Wagoneer S and the Escalade IQ have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available four-wheel drive.

Warranty

The Wagoneer S’ corrosion warranty is unlimited miles longer than the Escalade IQ’s (unlimited vs. 100,000 miles).

Jeep pays for scheduled maintenance on the Wagoneer S for 2 years and unlimited miles. Jeep will pay for tire rotations, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 2 visits). Cadillac only pays for the first scheduled maintenance visit on the Escalade IQ.

There are over 4 times as many Jeep dealers as there are Cadillac dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Wagoneer S’ warranty.

Reliability

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2024 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Jeep vehicles are better in initial quality than Cadillac vehicles. With 14 fewer problems per 100 vehicles, JD Power ranks Jeep higher than Cadillac.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2024 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Jeep vehicles are more reliable than Cadillac With 6 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Jeep higher than Cadillac.

Chassis

The Wagoneer S is 2 feet, 7.9 inches shorter than the Escalade IQ, making the Wagoneer S easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Wagoneer S is 7.6 inches narrower than the Escalade IQ, making the Wagoneer S easier to handle and maneuver in traffic.

The Wagoneer S is 11.3 inches shorter in height than the Escalade IQ, making the Wagoneer S much easier to wash and garage and drive (lower center of gravity).

Cargo Capacity

The Wagoneer S 4dr Sport Utility has a much larger cargo volume than the Escalade IQ with its rear seat up (30.6 vs. 23.6 cubic feet).

Ergonomics

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Wagoneer S to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Escalade IQ doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.
