The front and rear suspension of the Hummer EV SUV uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Electrified GV70, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.
The Hummer EV SUV has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Hummer EV SUV’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.
For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Hummer EV SUV’s wheelbase is 13.5 inches longer than on the Electrified GV70 (126.7 inches vs. 113.2 inches).
For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Hummer EV SUV is 8.7 inches wider in the front and 8.2 inches wider in the rear than on the Electrified GV70.
For better maneuverability, the Hummer EV SUV’s turning circle is 2.4 feet tighter than the Electrified GV70’s (35.4 feet vs. 37.8 feet).
For greater off-road capability the Hummer EV SUV has a 9.1 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the Electrified GV70 (16 vs. 6.9 inches), allowing the Hummer EV SUV to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.
