The Vantage has a standard 3D Surround View System to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The RC F only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

Both the Vantage and RC F have rear cross-traffic warning, but the Vantage has Rear Cross Traffic Assist (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The RC F’s Rear Cross-Traffic Alert doesn’t automatically brake.

Both the Vantage and the RC F have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Vantage comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The RC F’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The Vantage’s corrosion warranty is 4 years longer than the RC F’s (10 vs. 6 years).

The Vantage’s 4.0 turbo V8 produces 184 more horsepower (656 vs. 472) and 195 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 395) than the RC F’s 5.0 DOHC V8.

The Vantage has 1.9 gallons more fuel capacity than the RC F (19.3 vs. 17.4 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better stopping power the Vantage’s brake rotors are larger than those on the RC F:

For better traction, the Vantage has larger tires than the RC F (F:275/35R21 & R:325/30R21 vs. F:235/35R19 & R:275/35R19). The Vantage’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the RC F (F:275/35R21 & R:325/30R21 vs. F:255/35R19 & R:275/35R19).

The Vantage’s 325/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the RC F’s standard 35 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Vantage has standard 21-inch wheels. Only 19-inch wheels are available on the RC F.

The Vantage’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (50% to 50%) than the RC F’s (55% to 45%). This gives the Vantage more stable handling and braking.

The Vantage is 8.5 inches shorter than the RC F, making the Vantage easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Vantage’s standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. An easy entry system costs extra on the RC F, and is not available on all models.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Aston Martin Vantage has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) for the front seat. The RC F doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The Vantage’s Active Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, with the driver only controlling speed with the brake pedal. The RC F doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
