The Vantage has a standard 3D Surround View System to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The F-Type only offers a rear monitor and front and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the sides.

Both the Vantage and the F-Type have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The Vantage comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The F-Type’s 60,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

The Vantage’s corrosion warranty is 4 years longer than the F-Type’s (10 vs. 6 years).

The Vantage’s 4.0 turbo V8 produces 212 more horsepower (656 vs. 444) and 162 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 428) than the F-Type P450’s standard 5.0 supercharged V8. The Vantage’s 4.0 turbo V8 produces 81 more horsepower (656 vs. 575) and 74 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 516) than the F-Type R75’s standard 5.0 supercharged V8.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Aston Martin Vantage higher (5 out of 10) than the Jaguar F-Type (3). This means the Vantage produces up to 16.5 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the F-Type every 15,000 miles.

For better stopping power the Vantage’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the F-Type:

The Vantage offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The F-Type doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction, the Vantage has larger tires than the F-Type (F:275/35R21 & R:325/30R21 vs. F:265/35R20 & R:305/30R20).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Vantage has standard 21-inch wheels. Only 20-inch wheels are available on the F-Type.

The Vantage has a standard space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the F-Type; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Vantage’s wheelbase is 3.3 inches longer than on the F-Type (106.5 inches vs. 103.2 inches).

The Vantage’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (50% to 50%) than the F-Type’s (54.5% to 45.5%). This gives the Vantage more stable handling and braking.

To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the Vantage has a standard Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The F-Type doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.

With standard Natural Voice Control, the Vantage offers the driver hands free control of the radio and the navigation computer by simply speaking. The F-Type doesn’t offer a voice control system.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Aston Martin Vantage has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) for the front seat. The F-Type doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.
