The Vantage has standard Automatic Emergency Braking, which use forward mounted sensors to warn the driver of a possible collision ahead. If the driver doesn’t react and the system determines a collision is imminent, it automatically applies the brakes at full-force in order to reduce the force of the crash or avoid it altogether. The SF90 doesn't offer collision warning or crash mitigation brakes.

The Vantage’s lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. The SF90 doesn’t offer a lane departure warning system.

The Vantage has a standard 3D Surround View System to allow the driver to see objects all around the vehicle on a screen. The SF90 only offers a rear monitor and rear parking sensors that beep or flash a light. That doesn’t help with obstacles to the front or sides.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Vantage’s standard Rear Cross Traffic Assist uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side and automatically engage the brakes. The SF90 doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

The Vantage’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The SF90 doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the Vantage and the SF90 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

Warranty

The Vantage’s corrosion warranty is 7 years longer than the SF90’s (10 vs. 3 years).

Reliability

The SF90’s redline is at 8000 RPM, which causes more engine wear, and a greater chance of a catastrophic engine failure. The Vantage has a 7000 RPM redline.

Fuel Economy and Range

On the EPA test cycle the Vantage gets better fuel mileage than the SF90 Coupe with its standard engine running its gasoline engine (15 city/22 hwy vs. 16 city/20 hwy).

The Vantage has 1.3 gallons more fuel capacity than the SF90 (19.3 vs. 18 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

Environmental Friendliness

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Aston Martin Vantage higher (5 out of 10) than the Ferrari SF90 (3). This means the Vantage produces up to 16.5 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the SF90 every 15,000 miles.

Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the Vantage has larger tires than the SF90 (F:275/35R21 & R:325/30R21 vs. F:255/35R20 & R:315/30R20).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Vantage has standard 21-inch wheels. Only 20-inch wheels are available on the SF90.

Suspension and Handling

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Vantage’s wheelbase is 2.2 inches longer than on the SF90 (106.5 inches vs. 104.3 inches).

The Vantage’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (50% to 50%) than the SF90’s (45% to 55%). This gives the Vantage more stable handling and braking.

Chassis

The Vantage is 8.5 inches shorter than the SF90, making the Vantage easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

Cargo Capacity

The Vantage has a much larger trunk than the SF90 Coupe (8.3 vs. 2.6 cubic feet).

Servicing Ease

The Vantage uses gas struts to support the hood for easier service access. The SF90 uses a prop rod to support its heavy hood. It takes two hands to open the hood and set the prop rod, the prop rod gets in the way during maintenance and service, and the prop rod could be knocked out, causing the heavy hood to fall on the person maintaining or servicing the car.

Ergonomics

Unlike the driver-only memory seat in the SF90, the Vantage has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Vantage’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The SF90’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.

The Vantage’s standard Keyless Entry allow you to unlock the doors from either outside door handle, open the trunk, and start the engine, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Push-button start standard on the SF90 only offers hands-free access for the ignition, none to unlock the car.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Vantage has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The SF90 doesn’t offer headlight washers.

The Vantage has standard heated front seats, which keep the driver and front passenger extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated seats aren’t available in the SF90.

Optional air-conditioned seats in the Vantage keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The SF90 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.

On extremely cold winter days, the Vantage’s optional heated steering wheel provides comfort, allowing the driver to steer safely and comfortably before the car heater warms up. The SF90 doesn’t offer a heated steering wheel.

The Vantage’s standard dual zone air conditioning allows the driver and front passenger to choose two completely different temperatures so people with different temperature preferences won’t have to compromise. This makes both the driver and front passenger as comfortable as possible. The SF90 doesn’t offer dual zone air conditioning.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Aston Martin Vantage has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) for the front seat. The SF90 doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.

The Vantage’s Active Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, with the driver only controlling speed with the brake pedal. The SF90 doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
