The Corsair offers optional Post Collision Braking, which automatically apply the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Prologue doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

The Corsair’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Prologue doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the Corsair and the Prologue have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front wheel drive, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rear parking sensors, rear cross-path warning, available all wheel drive and around view monitors.

The Corsair comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck. The Prologue’s 3-year/36,000-mile basic warranty expires 1 year or 14,000 miles sooner.

Lincoln’s powertrain warranty covers the Corsair 1 year and 10,000 miles longer than Honda covers the Prologue. Any repair needed on the engine, transmission, axles, joints or driveshafts is fully covered for 6 years or 70,000 miles. Coverage on the Prologue ends after only 5 years or 60,000 miles.

The Corsair has a standard “limp home system” to keep drivers from being stranded if most or all of the engine’s coolant is lost. The engine will run on only half of its cylinders at a time, reduce its power and light a warning lamp on the dashboard so the driver can get to a service station for repairs. The Prologue doesn’t offer a lost coolant limp home mode, so a coolant leak could strand you or seriously damage the truck’s engine.

The Corsair’s standard 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder produces 38 more horsepower (250 vs. 212) and 39 lbs.-ft. more torque (275 vs. 236) than the Prologue’s standard electric motor.

The Corsair Grand Touring’s maximum EPA estimated range on a full tank and a full charge is 404 miles, after which it can be refueled at any gas station in minutes. The Prologue’s range is only 273 to 296 miles, after which the minimum time to recharge is 35 minutes for only an 80% charge at a specially configured quick charge station not available in most areas. A full recharge at a professionally installed 220-volt charging station can take up to 8 hours and 41 minutes.

Regenerative brakes improve the Corsair Grand Touring’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Prologue doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

The Corsair stops much shorter than the Prologue:

The Corsair offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the Prologue; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

The Corsair offers an optional driver-adjustable suspension system. It allows the driver to choose between an extra-supple ride, reducing fatigue on long trips, or a sport setting, which allows maximum control for tricky roads or off-road. The Prologue’s suspension doesn’t offer adjustable shock absorbers.

The Corsair Reserve AWD handles at .83 G’s, while the Prologue Elite pulls only .80 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.

For better maneuverability, the Corsair’s turning circle is 2.5 feet tighter than the Prologue’s (37.1 feet vs. 39.6 feet).

The Lincoln Corsair may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 800 to 1250 pounds less than the Honda Prologue.

The Corsair is 10.6 inches shorter than the Prologue, making the Corsair easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The front grille of the Corsair uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Prologue doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Corsair uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The Prologue doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.

The Corsair has 1.8 inches more front legroom and .6 inches more rear headroom than the Prologue.

The Corsair has a much larger cargo volume than the Prologue with its rear seat up (27.6 vs. 25.2 cubic feet).

The Corsair’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Prologue’s (2000 vs. 1500 pounds). Maximum trailer towing in the Honda Prologue is only 1500 pounds. The Corsair offers up to a 3000 lbs. towing capacity.

Standard Trailer Sway Control on the Corsair uses the AdvanceTrac® sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Prologue doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

In case you lock your keys in your vehicle, or don’t have them with you, you can let yourself in using the Corsair’s exterior PIN entry system. The Prologue doesn’t offer an exterior PIN entry system, and its OnStar can’t unlock the doors if the vehicle doesn’t have cell phone reception or the driver can’t contact the service.

The Corsair’s standard speed-sensitive wipers speed up when the vehicle does, so that the driver doesn’t have to continually adjust the speed of the wipers. The Prologue’s manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted. The Corsair’s optional wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically according to the amount of rainfall on the windshield.

The Corsair’s standard rear view mirror and optional side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Prologue offers an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.

Both the Corsair and the Prologue have standard heated front seats. The Corsair also offers optional heated rear seats to keep those passengers extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated rear seats aren’t available in the Prologue.

The Corsair Reserve/Grand Touring offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Prologue.

The Corsair’s optional Active Park Assist 2.0 can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The Prologue doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
