The Cadillac Escalade IQ has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The GV60 doesn’t offer a front passenger side knee airbag.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, Full-Time Four-Wheel Drive is standard on the Escalade IQ. But it costs extra on the GV60.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Escalade IQ helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The GV60 doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Escalade IQ and the GV60 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, front seat center airbag, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

There are over 2 times as many Cadillac dealers as there are Genesis dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Escalade IQ’s warranty.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2024 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Cadillac vehicles are more reliable than Genesis With 4 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Cadillac higher than Genesis.

From surveys of all its subscribers, Consumer Reports’ January 2024 Auto Issue reports that Cadillac vehicles are more reliable than Genesis vehicles. Consumer Reports ranks Cadillac 2 places higher in reliability than Genesis.

The Escalade IQ’s electric motors produces 525 more horsepower (750 vs. 225) and 527 lbs.-ft. more torque (785 vs. 258) than the GV60 Standard’s standard electric motor. The Escalade IQ’s electric motors produces 436 more horsepower (750 vs. 314) and 339 lbs.-ft. more torque (785 vs. 446) than the GV60 Advance’s standard electric motors. The Escalade IQ’s electric motors produces 321 more horsepower (750 vs. 429) and 339 lbs.-ft. more torque (785 vs. 446) than the GV60 Performance’s standard electric motors.

For better traction, the Escalade IQ has larger tires than the GV60 (275/50R24 vs. 255/45R20).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Escalade IQ has standard 24-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the GV60 Standard. The GV60’s largest wheels are only 21-inches.

The Cadillac Escalade IQ’s wheels have 6 lugs for longer wheel bearing life, less chance of rotor warping and greater strength. The Genesis GV60 only has 5 wheel lugs per wheel.

The Escalade IQ has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The GV60 doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

The front and rear suspension of the Escalade IQ uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the GV60, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The Escalade IQ has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The Escalade IQ’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The GV60 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Escalade IQ’s wheelbase is 22 inches longer than on the GV60 (136.2 inches vs. 114.2 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Escalade IQ is 4.6 inches wider in the front and 4.3 inches wider in the rear than on the GV60.

The front grille of the Escalade IQ uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The GV60 doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

The Escalade IQ has standard seating for 7 passengers; the GV60 can only carry 5.

The Escalade IQ has 60.8 cubic feet more passenger volume than the GV60 (161.9 vs. 101.1).

The Escalade IQ’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the GV60’s (8000 vs. 2000 pounds).

Standard Trailer Sway Control on the Escalade IQ uses the StabiliTrak® sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The GV60 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Cadillac service is better than Genesis. J.D. Power ranks Cadillac fifth in service department satisfaction. With a 71% lower rating, Genesis is ranked 31st.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the GV60, the Escalade IQ offers an optional passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The Escalade IQ’s standard Keyless Access allow you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, open the cargo door, and start the vehicle, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Proximity Key standard on the GV60 doesn’t offer a sensor on the rear doors, so you’ll have to reach a front handle to unlock the rear door.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Escalade IQ has a standard rear wiper. The GV60 doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Escalade IQ has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The GV60 doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Escalade IQ also has standard adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

The Escalade IQ has standard front air conditioned seats and offers them optionally in the second row. This keeps the passengers comfortable and takes the sting out of hot seats in summer. The GV60 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

The Escalade IQ has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel is only available on the GV60 Performance.

Both the Escalade IQ and the GV60 offer optional massaging front seats. The Escalade IQ also offers optional massaging second row seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging rear seats aren’t available in the GV60.

Both the Cadillac Escalade IQ and the Genesis GV60 have a standard Qi wireeless phone charging system in the front seat. To easily keep personal devices charged in the second row seat, without cables tangling and wearing out, the Escalade IQ also offers an optional wireless charging system with chargers for two devices.
