Safety
Warranty
The Envista’s corrosion warranty is 1 year longer than the Crown Signia’s (6 vs. 5 years).
Reliability
J.D. Power and Associates’ 2024 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Buick vehicles are better in initial quality than Toyota vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Buick above average in initial quality. With 28 more problems per 100 vehicles, Toyota is rated lower.
Fuel Economy and Range
The Envista has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The Crown Signia doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.
Tires and Wheels
The Envista has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Crown Signia doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.
The Envista has a standard space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the Crown Signia; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.
Suspension and Handling
The Envista Avenir handles at .83 G’s, while the Crown Signia Limited pulls only .82 G’s of cornering force in a Car and Driver skidpad test.
For better maneuverability, the Envista’s turning circle is 2.1 feet tighter than the Crown Signia’s (37.4 feet vs. 39.5 feet). The Envista w/18-19” Wheels’ turning circle is 1.1 feet tighter than the Crown Signia’s (38.4 feet vs. 39.5 feet).
Chassis
The Buick Envista may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1050 pounds less than the Toyota Crown Signia.
The Envista is 11.5 inches shorter than the Crown Signia, making the Envista easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.
The front grille of the Envista uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Crown Signia doesn’t offer active grille shutters.
The Envista uses computer-generated active noise cancellation to help remove annoying noise and vibration from the passenger compartment, especially at low frequencies. The Crown Signia doesn’t offer active noise cancellation.
Passenger Space
The Envista has .3 inches more front headroom and 1.6 inches more rear legroom than the Crown Signia.

Ergonomics
The Envista’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Crown Signia does not have an oil pressure gauge.
In case you lock your keys in your vehicle, or don’t have them with you, you can let yourself in using the Envista’s available exterior PIN entry system. The Crown Signia doesn’t offer an exterior PIN entry system.
The Envista Avenir’s standard rear view mirror and optional side view mirrors have an automatic dimming feature. These mirrors can be set to automatically darken quickly when headlights shine on them, keeping following vehicles from blinding or distracting the driver. The Crown Signia has an automatic rear view mirror, but its side mirrors don’t dim.
