Unlike the driver-only memory system in the G80, the A8 has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position, outside mirror angle and climate settings and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.
The A8’s standard Audi Advanced Key allow you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, open the trunk, and start the engine, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Proximity Key standard on the G80 doesn’t offer a sensor on the rear doors, so you’ll have to reach a front handle to unlock the rear door.
Heated windshield washer fluid is optional on the A8 to defrost the washer nozzles and quickly clear ice and frost from the windshield without scraping. The G80 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer fluid.
In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The A8 has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The G80 doesn’t offer headlight washers.
To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the A8 has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The G80 doesn’t offer cornering lights.
The A8 has standard front air conditioned seats and offers them optionally in the rear. This keeps the passengers comfortable and takes the sting out of hot seats in summer. The G80 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.
Both the A8 and the G80 offer available massaging front seats. The A8 also offers optional massaging rear seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging rear seats aren’t available in the G80.
To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Audi A8 has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. Only the G80 Sport/Sport Prestige offers wireless charging.
The A8 offers an optional 115-volt a/c outlet on the center console, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The G80 doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.
