2024 Genesis G90
2024 Jaguar XF

Safety

When descending a steep, off-road slope, the XF’s standard All Surface Progress Control allows you to creep down safely. The G90 doesn’t offer All Surface Progress Control.

Both the XF and the G90 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

Warranty

Jaguar pays for scheduled maintenance on the XF for 2 years and 24,000 miles longer than Genesis pays for maintenance for the G90 (5/60,000 vs. 3/36,000).

Fuel Economy and Range

On the EPA test cycle the XF gets better mileage than the G90:

Regenerative brakes improve the XF’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The G90 doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

Environmental Friendliness

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Jaguar XF higher (7 out of 10) than the Genesis G90 (5). This means the XF produces up to 8 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the G90 every 15,000 miles.

Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the XF’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the G90 (255/35R20 vs. 245/45R20).

The XF’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the G90 3.5T’s standard 45 series front tires. The XF’s optional tires have a lower 35 series profile than the G90 3.5T e-SC’s 40 series front tires.

Chassis

The Jaguar XF may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 1150 to 1300 pounds less than the Genesis G90.

The XF is 1 foot shorter than the G90, making the XF easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

Cargo Capacity

The XF’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The G90 doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.

Towing

Standard Trailer Stability Assist on the XF uses the Dynamic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The G90 doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

Servicing Ease

A maintenance reminder system is standard on the XF to save the owner time and money by calculating maintenance intervals for oil changes, based on odometer mileage. This takes the guesswork out of keeping your vehicle in top condition and helps it last longer. Genesis doesn’t offer a maintenance reminder on the G90.

Ergonomics

If the windows are left open on the XF the driver can close them all at the outside door handle. On a hot day the driver can lower the windows at the outside door handle or from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the G90 can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the XF to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The G90 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The XF SE/R-Dynamic offers available headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The G90 doesn’t offer headlight washers.

Model Availability

The XF is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The G90 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
