The EQE Sedan has a standard Post Collision Brake, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The EQE Sedan has Car-to-X Communication, a system that seemlesly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from infrastructure or other vehicles.

Both the EQE Sedan and the Electrified G80 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The EQE 350 4MATIC’s standard electric motors produces 48 lbs.-ft. more torque (564 vs. 516) than the Electrified G80’s electric motors. The EQE 500 4MATIC’s standard electric motors produces 37 more horsepower (402 vs. 365) and 117 lbs.-ft. more torque (633 vs. 516) than the Electrified G80’s electric motors. The AMG EQE’s standard electric motors produces 312 more horsepower (677 vs. 365) and 222 lbs.-ft. more torque (738 vs. 516) than the Electrified G80’s electric motors.

The EQE Sedan AMG offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

The EQE Sedan stops shorter than the Electrified G80:

For better traction, the EQE Sedan has larger standard tires than the Electrified G80 (255/40R20 vs. 245/45R19). The AMG EQE’s tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Electrified G80 (F:265/40R20 & R:295/35R20 vs. F:245/45R19 & R:275/40R19).

The EQE Sedan’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Electrified G80’s standard 45 series front tires. The EQE Sedan’s optional 255/35R21 front and 285/30R21 rear tires have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile than the Electrified G80’s 45 series front and 40 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the EQE Sedan has standard 20-inch wheels. Only 19-inch wheels are available on the Electrified G80. The EQE Sedan offers optional 21-inch wheels.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the EQE Sedan can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The EQE Sedan has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The EQE Sedan’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The EQE Sedan’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the EQE Sedan’s wheelbase is 4.3 inches longer than on the Electrified G80 (122.8 inches vs. 118.5 inches).

For better maneuverability, the EQE Sedan w/Rear Wheel Steering’s turning circle is 3 feet tighter than the Electrified G80’s (35.1 feet vs. 38.1 feet).

The design of the Mercedes EQE Sedan amounts to more than styling. The EQE Sedan has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .22 Cd. That is significantly lower than the Electrified G80 (.26) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the EQE Sedan get better fuel mileage.

The EQE Sedan has .6 inches more front shoulder room, 1.4 inches more rear headroom and 2.3 inches more rear legroom than the Electrified G80.

The EQE Sedan’s standard rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Electrified G80, the EQE Sedan has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The EQE Sedan’s standard Keyless-Go allow you to unlock the doors from any outside door handle, open the trunk, and start the car, all without removing the key from the pocket or purse. Proximity Key standard on the Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a sensor on the rear doors, so you’ll have to reach a front handle to unlock the rear door.

Heated windshield washer fluid is optional on the EQE Sedan to defrost the washer nozzles and quickly clear ice and frost from the windshield without scraping. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer fluid.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the EQE Sedan has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer cornering lights. The EQE Sedan also offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

The EQE Sedan is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
