The Jaguar F-Pace doesn’t offer pretensioners for its rear seat belts.

The AMG GLC Coupe’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The F-Pace doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Mercedes AMG GLC Coupe are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Jaguar F-Pace doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

The Mercedes AMG GLC Coupe has a standard driver’s side knee airbag mounted low on the dashboard. The knee airbag helps prevent the driver from sliding under the seatbelts or the main frontal airbag; this keeps the driver better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. A knee airbag also helps keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The F-Pace doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The AMG GLC Coupe offers optional Post-Collision Brake, which automatically apply the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The F-Pace doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The AMG GLC Coupe has standard Maneuvering Assistance that use rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically apply the brakes to prevent a collision. The F-Pace doesn’t offer automatic braking for stationary objects directly to the rear.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The AMG GLC Coupe has Car-to-X, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The F-Pace doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from other vehicles.

Both the AMG GLC Coupe and the F-Pace have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, driver alert monitors and available lane departure warning systems.

There are almost 3 times as many Mercedes dealers as there are Jaguar dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the AMG GLC Coupe’s warranty.

Power and Associates’ 2022 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Mercedes vehicles are more reliable than Jaguar With 38 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Mercedes higher than Jaguar.

The AMG GLC Coupe’s 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder hybrid produces 170 more horsepower (416 vs. 246) and 100 lbs.-ft. more torque (369 vs. 269) than the F-Pace P250’s standard 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder. The AMG GLC Coupe’s 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder hybrid produces 21 more horsepower (416 vs. 395) than the F-Pace P400’s standard 3.0 turbo/supercharged 6-cylinder hybrid.

On the EPA test cycle the AMG GLC 43 Coupe gets better fuel mileage than the F-Pace SVR (18 city/24 hwy vs. 15 city/21 hwy).

The AMG GLC Coupe has a standard locking fuel door which locks and unlocks with the power locks. The fuel filler door is not lockable on the F-Pace. A locking fuel door helps prevent fuel theft and vandalism, such as sugar in the tank.

A nine-speed automatic is standard on the Mercedes AMG GLC Coupe, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only an eight-speed automatic is available for the F-Pace.

The AMG GLC Coupe’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The F-Pace doesn’t offer launch control.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the AMG GLC 43 Coupe has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the F-Pace.

The AMG GLC Coupe’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The F-Pace doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

The AMG GLC Coupe is 5.9 inches narrower than the F-Pace, making the AMG GLC Coupe easier to handle and maneuver in traffic.

The AMG GLC Coupe’s power window, power lock, power mirror and cruise control switches are lit from behind, making them plainly visible and easier to operate at night. The F-Pace’s power mirror switches are unlit, making them difficult to find at night and operate safely.

Heated windshield washer fluid is standard on the AMG GLC Coupe to defrost the washer nozzles and quickly clear ice and frost from the windshield without scraping. The F-Pace doesn’t offer heated windshield washer fluid. Its optional heated washer nozzles will defrost the washer fluid but not the windshield.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the AMG GLC Coupe offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The F-Pace doesn’t offer cornering lights.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the AMG GLC Coupe has standard extendable sun visors. The F-Pace doesn’t offer extendable visors.

The AMG GLC Coupe has a 115-volt a/c outlet on the center console, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The F-Pace doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.

The AMG GLC Coupe’s Active Parking Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. The F-Pace SVR’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park.
