The Panamera’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the Flying Spur.

Both the Panamera and the Flying Spur have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning, available all wheel drive, night vision systems and around view monitors.

The Panamera comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The Flying Spur’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

The Panamera’s corrosion warranty is 9 years longer than the Flying Spur’s (12 vs. 3 years).

There are over 4 times as many Porsche dealers as there are Bentley dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Panamera’s warranty.

The Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 44 more horsepower (670 vs. 626) and 22 lbs.-ft. more torque (686 vs. 664) than the Flying Spur’s optional 6.0 turbo 12-cylinder.

Regardless of its engine, regenerative brakes improve the Panamera’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. Bentley only offers a regenerative brake system on the Flying Spur Hybrid.

For better stopping power the Panamera 4S/Turbo CCB’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the Flying Spur:

The Panamera offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The Flying Spur doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

The Porsche Panamera may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 200 to 850 pounds less than the Bentley Flying Spur.

The Panamera is 10.4 inches shorter than the Flying Spur, making the Panamera easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Panamera’s available rear seats fold to accommodate long and bulky cargo. The Flying Spur doesn’t offer folding rear seats, only a ski pass-through.

Standard Trailer Stability Management on the Panamera uses the Porsche Stability Management sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Flying Spur doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

The Panamera’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Flying Spur does not have an oil pressure gauge.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Panamera offers optional cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Flying Spur doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Panamera also offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

The Panamera’s optional Remote ParkAssist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote ParkAssist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Flying Spur’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park and it doesn’t offer remote control parking.

The Panamera is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Flying Spur doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
