To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the Mercedes AMG GT. But it costs extra on the 911.

A nine-speed automatic (SMG) is standard on the Mercedes AMG GT, for better acceleration and lower engine speed on the highway. Only an eight-speed automatic is available for the 911.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Mercedes AMG GT’s wheelbase is 9.8 inches longer than on the 911 (106.3 inches vs. 96.5 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Mercedes AMG GT is 3.6 inches wider in the front and 4.9 inches wider in the rear than the average track on the 911.

The Mercedes AMG GT’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (54% to 46%) than the 911’s (39.5% to 60.5%). This gives the Mercedes AMG GT more stable handling and braking.

The Mercedes AMG GT has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the car heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the 911.

The Mercedes AMG GT offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the 911.
