Both the ZDX and Corsair have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The ZDX has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The Corsair’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

In the past twenty years hundreds of infants and young children have died after being left in vehicles, usually by accident. When turning the vehicle off, drivers of the ZDX are reminded to check the back seat if they opened the rear door before starting out. The Corsair doesn’t offer a back seat reminder.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the ZDX has standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert with Rear Cross Traffic Braking, systems which detect vehicles approaching from the sides and can automatically apply the brakes to prevent a collision. Rear Cross Traffic Braking costs extra on the Corsair.

Both the ZDX and the Corsair have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

The Acura ZDX weighs 928 to 2367 pounds more than the Lincoln Corsair. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

The ZDX can travel with zero emissions on a full charge for 278 to 313 miles. The Corsair Grand Touring has to start its internal combustion engine after only 27 miles.

Regardless of its engine, regenerative brakes improve the ZDX’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. Lincoln only offers a regenerative brake system on the Corsair Grand Touring.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Acura ZDX higher (10 out of 10) than the Lincoln Corsair (7 to 8). This means the ZDX produces up to 11.8 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the Corsair every 15,000 miles.

For better traction, the ZDX has larger standard tires than the Corsair (265/50R20 vs. 225/60R18). The ZDX Type S’ tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Corsair (275/40R22 vs. 245/45R20).

The ZDX A-Spec’s standard tires provide better handling because they have a lower 50 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Corsair Premiere’s standard 60 series tires. The ZDX Type S’ tires have a lower 40 series profile than the Corsair’s optional 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the ZDX A-Spec has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 18-inch wheels are standard on the Corsair Premiere. The ZDX Type S’ 22-inch wheels are larger than the 20-inch wheels optional on the Corsair.

The Acura ZDX’s wheels have 6 lugs for longer wheel bearing life, less chance of rotor warping and greater strength. The Lincoln Corsair only has 5 wheel lugs per wheel.

The ZDX has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Corsair doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

Having a flat tire is dangerous, inconvenient and expensive. The self-sealing tires standard on the ZDX can automatically seal most punctures up to 3/16 of an inch, effectively preventing most flat tires. The Corsair doesn’t offer self-sealing tires.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the ZDX’s wheelbase is 15.1 inches longer than on the Corsair (121.8 inches vs. 106.7 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the ZDX is 3.6 inches wider in the front and 2.9 inches wider in the rear than on the Corsair.

The ZDX’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (50% to 50%) than the Corsair’s (56% to 44%). This gives the ZDX more stable handling and braking.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Corsair, the ZDX Type S has a passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The ZDX’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Corsair’s standard intermittent wipers change speed with vehicle speed, but can’t turn on and off or change speed based on changing rainfall.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the ZDX to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Corsair doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

When the ZDX is put in reverse, both rearview mirrors tilt from their original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirrors into their original positions. The Corsair’s mirrors don’t automatically adjust for backing.

The ZDX has a standard heated steering wheel to take the chill out of steering on extremely cold winter days before the vehicle heater warms up. A heated steering wheel costs extra on the Corsair.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Acura ZDX has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. Wireless charging costs extra on the Corsair.

The ZDX Type S has a 115-volt a/c outlet on the center console, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The Corsair doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.
