The Charger Daytona Scat Pack Coupe’s standard electric motors produces 199 more horsepower (670 vs. 471) and 229 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 398) than the LC 500’s standard 5.0 DOHC V8.

The Charger can travel with zero emissions for 260 to 317 miles (dependent on model). The LC has to start its internal combustion engine after only .6 miles.

Regardless of its engine, regenerative brakes improve the Charger’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. Lexus only offers a regenerative brake system on the LC Hybrid.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Dodge Charger higher (10 out of 10) than the Lexus LC (5 to 7). This means the Charger produces up to 19.8 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the LC every 15,000 miles.

All wheel drive, available in the Charger, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Lexus LC is not available with all wheel drive.

The Charger Scat Pack’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The LC doesn’t offer launch control.

When the Charger with available tilt-down mirrors is put in reverse, both rearview mirrors tilt from their original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirrors into their original positions. For greater rear passenger comfort, the Charger has standard rear a/c vents to keep rear occupants more comfortable. The LC doesn’t offer rear vents.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Dodge Charger offers an optional wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. The LC doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.
