For enhanced safety, the front and rear seat shoulder belts of the Bentley Bentayga have pretensioners to tighten the seatbelts and eliminate dangerous slack in the event of a collision and force limiters to limit the pressure the belts will exert on the passengers. The BMW X6 M doesn’t offer pretensioners for its rear seat belts.

For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Bentley Bentayga are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The BMW X6 M doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

Both the Bentayga and X6 M have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Bentayga has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The X6 M’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The Bentayga has Connected Car Services, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Bentayga helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then projects the image on the windshield, near the driver’s line of sight. The X6 M doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Bentayga and X6 M have rear cross-traffic warning, but the Bentayga has Reversing Traffic Warning (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The X6 M’s Cross Traffic Warning doesn’t automatically brake.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Bentayga V8’s fuel efficiency. The X6 M doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Bentayga SPEED offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The X6 M doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Bentayga offers optional 22-inch wheels. The X6 M’s largest wheels are only 21-inches in the front and 22-inches in the rear.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Bentayga’s wheelbase is .9 inches longer than on the X6 M (117.9 inches vs. 117 inches). The Bentayga EWB’s wheelbase is 8 inches longer than on the X6 M (125 inches vs. 117 inches).

For better maneuverability, the Bentayga EWB’s turning circle is 3.3 feet tighter than the X6 M’s (38.7 feet vs. 42 feet). The Bentayga’s turning circle is 1.4 feet tighter than the X6 M’s (40.6 feet vs. 42 feet).

For greater off-road capability the Bentayga has a 1.3 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the X6 M (9.7 vs. 8.4 inches), allowing the Bentayga to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Bentayga’s rear seats recline. The X6 M’s rear seats don’t recline.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Bentayga to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The X6 M doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Bentayga has standard headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The X6 M doesn’t offer headlight washers.

To better shield the driver and front passenger’s vision, the Bentayga offers optional dual-element sun visors that can block glare from two directions simultaneously. The X6 M doesn’t offer secondary sun visors.

Optional air conditioned front and rear seats keep the Bentayga’s passengers comfortable and take the sting out of hot leather in summer. The X6 M doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats in the rear.

Both the Bentayga and the X6 M offer optional massaging front seats. The Bentayga also offers optional massaging rear seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging rear seats aren’t available in the X6 M.
