Safety

The Bentayga’s pre-crash front seatbelts will tighten automatically in the event the vehicle detects an impending crash, improving protection against injury significantly. The Urus doesn’t offer pre-crash pretensioners.

The Bentayga has standard Active Head Restraints, which use a specially designed headrest to protect the driver and front passenger from whiplash. During a rear-end collision, the Active Head Restraints system moves the headrests forward to prevent neck and spine injuries. The Urus doesn’t offer a whiplash protection system.

Earlier warning of stopped traffic, traffic signals, dangerous road conditions, weather, or accidents, can keep driver's safer and prevent crashes. The Bentayga has Connected Car Services, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The Urus doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems

The Bentayga has a standard blind spot warning system that uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. A system to reveal vehicles in the Urus’ blind spot costs extra.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Bentayga has standard Reversing Traffic Warning and automatically engage the brakes. Lamborghini charges extra for Rear Cross-Traffic Assist on the Urus.

Both the Bentayga and the Urus have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, rearview cameras, available night vision systems and lane departure warning systems.

The Bentley Bentayga weighs 482 to 1098 pounds more than the Lamborghini Urus. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

Fuel Economy and Range

On the EPA test cycle the Bentayga Hybrid running on electricity gets better mileage than the Urus (44 city/51 hwy MPGe vs. 14 city/19 hwy).

On the EPA test cycle the Bentayga running its gasoline engine gets better mileage than the Urus:

The Bentayga Hybrid can travel with zero emissions for 18 miles. The Urus can’t move without running its internal combustion engine.

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Bentayga V8’s fuel efficiency. The Urus doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

Regenerative brakes improve the Bentayga Hybrid’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The Urus doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the Bentayga’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Urus doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

Suspension and Handling

The Bentayga’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (56% to 44%) than the Urus’ (58% to 42%). This gives the Bentayga more stable handling and braking.

For greater off-road capability the Bentayga has a 1.3 inches greater minimum ground clearance than the Urus (9.7 vs. 8.4 inches), allowing the Bentayga to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

Passenger Space

The Bentayga has 4 cubic feet more passenger volume than the Urus (109 vs. 105).

Cargo Capacity

The Bentayga has a larger cargo volume with its rear seat folded than the Urus with its rear seat folded (62.6 vs. 56.4 cubic feet).

Towing

Standard Trailer Sway Mitigation on the Bentayga (except Hybrid) uses the Electronic Stability Control sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The Urus doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

Ergonomics

The Bentayga has a standard remote vehicle starting system, so the vehicle can be started from inside the driver's house. This allows the driver to comfortably warm up the engine before going out to the vehicle. The climate system will also automatically heat or cool the interior. The Urus doesn’t offer a remote starting system.
