The Quattroporte’s 3.0 turbo V6 produces 62 more horsepower (424 vs. 362) and 59 lbs.-ft. more torque (428 vs. 369) than the E 450 4MATIC Sedan’s standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder hybrid.

The Quattroporte has 3.7 gallons more fuel capacity than the E-Class Sedan 350’s standard fuel tank (21.1 vs. 17.4 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Quattroporte has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The E-Class Sedan doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

The Quattroporte Trofeo’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The E-Class Sedan doesn’t offer launch control.

For better traction and acceleration, the Quattroporte has larger rear tires than the E-Class Sedan (285/30R21 vs. 245/45R18).

The Quattroporte’s 245/35R21 front and 285/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the E-Class Sedan’s standard 45 series tires. The Quattroporte’s tires are lower profile than the E 350 Sedan’s optional 40 series tires.

The Quattroporte has a standard space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the E-Class Sedan; it requires you to depend on its run-flat tires, which limits mileage and speed before they are repaired. If a run-flat is damaged beyond repair by a road hazard your vehicle will have to be towed.
