The Grecale doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Cayenne Coupe helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Grecale doesn’t offer a night vision system.

The Cayenne Coupe’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the Grecale.

The Cayenne Coupe has a standard blind spot warning system that uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. A system to reveal vehicles in the Grecale’s blind spot costs extra.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Cayenne Coupe has standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert and automatically engage the brakes. Maserati charges extra for Rear Cross Path on the Grecale and the Grecale’s Rear Cross Path does not include automatic braking.

Both the Cayenne Coupe and the Grecale have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, rearview cameras and available around view monitors.

The Cayenne Coupe’s corrosion warranty is 8 years and unlimited miles longer than the Grecale’s (12/unlimited vs. 4/50,000).

There are over 67 percent more Porsche dealers than there are Maserati dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Cayenne Coupe’s warranty.

A reliable vehicle saves its owner time, money and trouble. Nobody wants to be stranded or have to be without a vehicle while it’s being repaired. Consumer Reports rates the Cayenne Coupe’s reliability 37 points higher than the Grecale.

J.D. Power and Associates’ 2023 Initial Quality Study of new car owners surveyed provide the statistics that show that Porsche vehicles are better in initial quality than Maserati vehicles. J.D. Power ranks Porsche above average in initial quality. With 15 more problems per 100 vehicles, Maserati is rated lower.

The Cayenne Coupe has more powerful engines than the Grecale:

Regardless of its engine, regenerative brakes improve the Cayenne Coupe’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. Maserati only offers a regenerative brake system on the Grecale GT/Modena.

The Cayenne Coupe S E-Hybrid/Turbo E-Hybrid’s standard fuel tank has 1.6 gallons more fuel capacity than the Grecale (18.5 vs. 16.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups. The Cayenne Coupe’s standard fuel tank has 6.8 gallons more fuel capacity than the Grecale (23.7 vs. 16.9 gallons).

For better stopping power the Cayenne Coupe’s brake rotors are larger than those on the Grecale:

The Cayenne Coupe offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The Grecale doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

The Cayenne Coupe Turbo has standard air brakes, which adjust the spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The Grecale doesn’t offer air brakes.

For better traction, the Cayenne Coupe has larger standard tires than the Grecale (F:255/55R20 & R:295/45R20 vs. 235/55R19). The Cayenne Coupe’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Grecale (F:285/45R21 & R:315/40R21 vs. F:255/45R20 & R:295/40R20).

The Cayenne Coupe’s standard 295/45R20 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Grecale GT’s standard 55 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Cayenne Coupe has standard 20-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Grecale GT. The Cayenne Coupe’s optional 22-inch wheels are larger than the 21-inch wheels optional on the Grecale.

The Cayenne Coupe has a standard space-saver spare (not available on E-Hybrid) so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the Grecale; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

The Cayenne Coupe offers active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Grecale doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The Cayenne Coupe offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Maserati doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Grecale.

For better maneuverability, the Cayenne Turbo GT’s turning circle is 2.8 feet tighter than the Grecale’s (38 feet vs. 40.8 feet). The Cayenne Coupe’s turning circle is .8 feet tighter than the Grecale’s (40 feet vs. 40.8 feet).

For greater off-road capability the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Grecale Trofeo (8.2 vs. 7.9 inches), allowing the Cayenne Coupe to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupe’s minimum ground clearance is 1.5 inches higher than on the Grecale (9.5 vs. 8 inches).

The front grille of the Cayenne Coupe uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Grecale doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Cayenne Coupe’s rear seats recline. The Grecale’s rear seats don’t recline.

The Cayenne Coupe has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the Grecale (20.9 vs. 18.9 cubic feet).

The Cayenne Coupe’s standard towing capacity is much higher than the Grecale’s (7700 vs. 5071 pounds).

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Cayenne Coupe offers available headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Grecale doesn’t offer headlight washers.

To better shield the driver and front passenger’s vision, the Cayenne Coupe has standard dual-element sun visors that can block glare from two directions simultaneously. The Grecale doesn’t offer secondary sun visors.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Cayenne Coupe to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Grecale doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

The Cayenne Coupe offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Grecale.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Porsche Cayenne has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. Wireless charging costs extra on the Grecale.

The Cayenne Coupe’s optional Active Parking Assistance can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote ParkAssist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Grecale doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
