For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Porsche Cayenne are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Aston Martin DBX doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

The Cayenne has a standard Multi-collision Brake System, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The DBX doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

Over 200 people are killed each year when backed over by motor vehicles. The Cayenne offers optional Maneuver Assist that uses rear sensors to monitor for objects to the rear and automatically applies the brakes to prevent a collision. The DBX doesn’t offer automatic braking for stationary objects directly to the rear.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the Cayenne helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The DBX doesn’t offer a night vision system.

The Cayenne has standard Porsche Connect, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in, help track down your vehicle if it’s stolen or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The DBX doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Cayenne and the DBX have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front and rear side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and available around view monitors.

The Cayenne comes with a full 4-year/50,000-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes 24-hour roadside assistance. The DBX’s 3-year basic warranty expires 1 year sooner.

The Cayenne’s corrosion warranty is 2 years longer than the DBX’s (12 vs. 10 years).

There are almost 6 times as many Porsche dealers as there are Aston Martin dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the Cayenne’s warranty.

The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 32 more horsepower (729 vs. 697) and 37 lbs.-ft. more torque (700 vs. 663) than the DBX707’s optional 4.0 turbo V8.

On the EPA test cycle the Cayenne running its gasoline engine gets better mileage than the DBX:

Regenerative brakes improve the Cayenne’s fuel efficiency by converting inertia back into energy instead of wasting it. The DBX doesn’t offer a regenerative braking system.

The Cayenne’s standard fuel tank has 1.2 gallons more fuel capacity than the DBX (23.7 vs. 22.5 gallons).

For better stopping power the Cayenne CCB’s front brake rotors are larger than those on the DBX:

The Cayenne Turbo has standard air brakes, which adjust the spoiler automatically during high-speed braking in order to shorten stopping distances. The DBX doesn’t offer air brakes.

For better maneuverability, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid’s turning circle is 1 foot tighter than the DBX’s (39.7 feet vs. 40.7 feet). The Cayenne’s turning circle is .7 feet tighter than the DBX’s (40 feet vs. 40.7 feet).

For greater off-road capability the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid has a greater minimum ground clearance than the DBX (9.5 vs. 9.3 inches), allowing the Cayenne to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged.

The Porsche Cayenne may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs up to about 250 pounds less than the Aston Martin DBX.

The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid is 4.4 inches shorter than the DBX, making the Cayenne easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Cayenne’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The DBX does not have an oil pressure gauge.

The Cayenne offers an optional heads-up display that projects speed, tachometer, warning and navigation instruction readouts in front of the driver’s line of sight, allowing drivers to view information without diverting their eyes from the road. The DBX doesn’t offer a heads-up display.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the Cayenne to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The DBX doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To improve rear visibility by keeping the rear window clear, the Cayenne has a standard rear wiper. The DBX doesn’t offer a rear wiper.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the Cayenne offers optional cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The DBX doesn’t offer cornering lights. The Cayenne also offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Cayenne to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The DBX doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

The Cayenne offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the DBX.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Porsche Cayenne has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. Wireless charging costs extra on the DBX.

The Cayenne’s optional Active Parking Assistance can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote ParkAssist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The DBX’s automatic parking system requires operating the brakes and transmission to safely park and it doesn’t offer remote control parking.
