The Lamborghini Urus has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. Using an infrared camera and near-infrared lights to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The AMG GLC Coupe doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Urus and the AMG GLC Coupe have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, rearview cameras, available lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The Lamborghini Urus weighs 507 to 611 pounds more than the Mercedes AMG GLC Coupe. The NHTSA advises that heavier vehicles are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

The Urus comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck. The AMG GLC Coupe’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance on the Urus for 5 years and 75000 miles. Lamborghini will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 5 visits). Mercedes doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the AMG GLC Coupe.

The Urus’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 272 more horsepower (657 vs. 385) and 243 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 384) than the AMG GLC Coupe’s 3.0 turbo V6.

For better traction, the Urus has larger standard tires than the AMG GLC Coupe (F:285/45R21 & R:315/40R21 vs. F:255/45R20 & R:285/40R20). The Urus’ optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the AMG GLC Coupe (F:285/35R23 & R:325/30R23 vs. F:255/45R20 & R:285/40R20).

The Urus’ optional 285/35R23 front and 325/30R23 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the AMG GLC 43 Coupe’s optional 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Urus has standard 21-inch wheels. Smaller 20-inch wheels are standard on the AMG GLC 43 Coupe. The Urus’ optional 23-inch wheels are larger than the 21-inch wheels optional on the AMG GLC 43 Coupe.

The Urus has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The AMG GLC Coupe doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The Urus S offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Mercedes doesn’t offer an active suspension on the AMG GLC Coupe.
