An active infrared night vision system optional on the Urus helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera and near-infrared lights to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Grecale doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the Urus and Grecale offer rear cross-traffic warning, but the Urus with Rear Cross-Traffic Assist also has Automatic Brake Activation (automatically applies the brakes) to better prevent a collision when backing near traffic. The Grecale’s Rear Cross Path doesn’t automatically brake.

Both the Urus and the Grecale have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, height adjustable front shoulder belts, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, rearview cameras, available lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems and around view monitors.

The Urus comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck. The Grecale’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance on the Urus for 5 years and 75000 miles. Lamborghini will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance (up to 5 visits). Maserati doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the Grecale.

The Urus’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 361 more horsepower (657 vs. 296) and 295 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 332) than the Grecale GT’s standard 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder hybrid. The Urus’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 332 more horsepower (657 vs. 325) and 295 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 332) than the Grecale Modena’s standard 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder hybrid. The Urus’ 4.0 turbo V8 produces 134 more horsepower (657 vs. 523) and 170 lbs.-ft. more torque (627 vs. 457) than the Grecale Trofeo’s standard 3.0 turbo V6.

The Urus has 5.6 gallons more fuel capacity than the Grecale (22.5 vs. 16.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better stopping power the Urus’ brake rotors are larger than those on the Grecale:

The Urus has standard heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The Grecale doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

For better traction, the Urus has larger standard tires than the Grecale (F:285/45R21 & R:315/40R21 vs. 235/55R19). The Urus’ optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Grecale (F:285/35R23 & R:325/30R23 vs. F:255/45R20 & R:295/40R20).

The Urus’ standard 285/45R21 front and 315/40R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 45 series front and 40 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Grecale GT’s standard 55 series tires. The Urus’ optional 285/35R23 front and 325/30R23 rear tires have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile than the Grecale’s optional 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Urus has standard 21-inch wheels. Smaller 19-inch wheels are standard on the Grecale GT. The Urus’ optional 23-inch wheels are larger than the 21-inch wheels optional on the Grecale.

The Urus offers an optional space-saver spare tire so you can replace a flat tire and drive to have the flat repaired or replaced. A spare tire isn’t available on the Grecale; it requires you to depend on roadside assistance and your vehicle will have to be towed.

The Urus has active sway bars, which help keep it flat and controlled during cornering, but disconnect at lower speeds to smooth the ride and offer greater off-road suspension articulation. This helps keep the tires glued to the road on-road and off. The Grecale doesn’t offer an active sway bar system.

The front and rear suspension of the Urus uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the Grecale, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The Urus S offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Maserati doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Grecale.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Urus S’ wheelbase is 4 inches longer than on the Grecale (118.2 inches vs. 114.2 inches).

For better handling and stability, the average track (width between the wheels) on the Urus is 3.3 inches wider in the front and .7 inches wider in the rear than the track on the Grecale.

For better maneuverability, the Urus’ turning circle is 2.1 feet tighter than the Grecale’s (38.7 feet vs. 40.8 feet).

For greater off-road capability the Urus has a greater minimum ground clearance than the Grecale Trofeo (8.4 vs. 7.9 inches), allowing the Urus to travel over rougher terrain without being stopped or damaged. The Urus’ minimum ground clearance is 1.8 inches higher than on the Grecale (9.8 vs. 8 inches).

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Urus’ available rear seats recline. The Grecale’s rear seats don’t recline.

The Urus has a much larger cargo volume with its rear seat up than the Grecale (21.8 vs. 18.9 cubic feet).

The Urus’ standard towing capacity is much higher than the Grecale’s (7716 vs. 5071 pounds).

In poor weather, headlights can lose their effectiveness as grime builds up on their lenses. This can reduce visibility without the driver realizing. The Urus offers available headlight washers to keep headlight output high. The Grecale doesn’t offer headlight washers.

Manual rear side window sunshades are available in the Urus to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Grecale doesn’t offer rear side window sunshades.

The Urus offers optional massaging front seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging seats aren’t available in the Grecale.

The Urus’ optional Park Assist can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote Park Assist will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Grecale doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
