The Revuelto Ultimae has all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The Artura doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

The Revuelto’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane and gently nudges the vehicle back towards its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the Artura.

The Revuelto’s blind spot warning system uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. The Artura doesn’t offer a system to reveal objects in the driver’s blind spots.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Revuelto’s standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert uses sensors in the rear to alert the driver to vehicles approaching from the side and automatically engage the brakes. The Artura doesn’t offer a rear cross-path warning system.

The Revuelto has standard GPS Response System, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to remotely unlock your doors if you lock your keys in or send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The Artura doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Revuelto and the Artura have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, daytime running lights and rearview cameras.

The Lamborghini Revuelto weighs 604 pounds more than the McLaren Artura. The NHTSA advises that heavier cars are much safer in collisions than their significantly lighter counterparts.

Lamborghini pays for scheduled maintenance (up to 5 visits) on the Revuelto for 2 years and 48000 miles longer than McLaren pays for maintenance for the Artura (5/75000 vs. 3/27000).

The Revuelto’s 6.5 DOHC V12 hybrid produces 330 more horsepower (1001 vs. 671) than the Artura’s 3.0 turbo V6 hybrid.

All wheel drive, available in the Revuelto, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The McLaren Artura is not available with all wheel drive.

For better traction, the Revuelto has larger standard tires than the Artura (F:265/35R20 & R:345/30R21 vs. F:235/35R19 & R:295/35R20). The Revuelto’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Artura (F:265/30R21 & R:355/25R22 vs. F:235/35R19 & R:295/35R20).

The Revuelto’s standard 345/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Artura’s standard 35 series tires. The Revuelto’s optional 265/30R21 front and 355/25R22 rear tires have a lower 30 series front and 25 series rear profile than the Artura’s 35 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Revuelto has standard 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels. Only 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels are available on the Artura. The Revuelto offers optional 21-inch front and 22-inch rear wheels.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Revuelto can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Artura doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Revuelto’s wheelbase is 5.5 inches longer than on the Artura (109.4 inches vs. 103.9 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Revuelto is 2.7 inches wider in the front and 3.5 inches wider in the rear than on the Artura.

The Revuelto’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (44% to 56%) than the Artura’s (41.9% to 58.1%). This gives the Revuelto more stable handling and braking.

The Revuelto’s instruments include an oil pressure gauge and a temperature gauge - which could save your engine! Often ‘idiot lights’ don’t warn you until damage has been done. The Artura does not have an oil pressure gauge.
