The Lamborghini Huracán has standard driver and front passenger side knee airbags mounted low on the dashboard. These airbags helps prevent the driver and front passenger from sliding under their seatbelts or the main frontal airbags; this keeps them better positioned during a collision for maximum protection. Knee airbags also help keep the legs from striking the dashboard, preventing knee and leg injuries in the case of a serious frontal collision. The F8 doesn’t offer knee airbags.

The Huracán offers all-wheel drive to maximize traction under poor conditions, especially in ice and snow. The F8 doesn’t offer all-wheel drive.

Both the Huracán and the F8 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights and available rear parking sensors.

As tested in Motor Trend the Huracán Evo is faster than the Ferrari F8:

An engine control system that can shut down some of the engine’s cylinders helps improve the Huracán’s fuel efficiency. The F8 doesn’t offer a system that can shut down part of the engine.

The Huracán has a standard cap-less fueling system. The fuel filler is automatically opened when the fuel nozzle is inserted and automatically closed when it’s removed. This eliminates the need to unscrew and replace the cap and it reduces fuel evaporation, which causes pollution. The F8 doesn’t offer a cap-less fueling system.

All wheel drive, available in the Huracán, provides the best traction for acceleration in wet, dry, and icy conditions. In corners, all wheel drive allows both outside wheels to provide power, balancing the car. This allows for better handling. The Ferrari F8 is not available with all wheel drive.

The Huracán stops much shorter than the F8:

The Huracán Technica/STO’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 30 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the F8’s 35 series front tires.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the Huracán can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The F8 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The Huracán Coupe AWD handles at 1.12 G’s, while the F8 Tributo pulls only 1.06 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The Huracán Coupe AWD executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver quicker than the F8 Tributo (22.2 seconds @ 1 average G’s vs. 22.8 seconds @ .93 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the Huracán’s turning circle is 1 foot tighter than the F8’s (37.7 feet vs. 38.7 feet).

The Lamborghini Huracán may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs up to about 200 pounds less than the Ferrari F8.

The Huracán Technica Coupe is 3.6 inches shorter than the F8, making the Huracán easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The Huracán’s entire steering wheel hub sounds the horn, facilitating hitting the horn in an emergency. The F8 has two small spoke buttons. These buttons can be hard to find and reach in an emergency.

The Huracán’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The F8’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.

The Huracán offers optional heated front seats, which keep the driver and front passenger extremely comfortable in the winter. Heated seats aren’t available in the F8.

The Huracán’s standard GPS navigation system has a real-time traffic update feature that plots alternative routes to automatically bypass traffic problems. (Service not available in all areas.) The F8’s navigation system doesn’t offer real-time traffic updates.

Motor Trend performed a comparison test in its March 2021 issue and they ranked the Lamborghini Huracán Coupe AWD first. They ranked the Ferrari F8 Tributo sixth.
