The Purosangue’s standard lane departure warning system alerts a temporarily inattentive driver when the vehicle begins to leave its lane. A lane departure warning system costs extra on the AMG GLE Coupe.

Both the Purosangue and the AMG GLE Coupe have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

Warranty

The Purosangue comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire truck and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The AMG GLE Coupe’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the Purosangue for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Mercedes doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the AMG GLE Coupe.

Engine

The Purosangue’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 286 more horsepower (715 vs. 429) and 115 lbs.-ft. more torque (528 vs. 413) than the GLE 53 Coupe’s standard 3.0 turbo 6-cylinder hybrid. The Purosangue’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 112 more horsepower (715 vs. 603) than the GLE 63 S Coupe’s standard 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid.

Fuel Economy and Range

The Purosangue has 3.9 gallons more fuel capacity than the AMG GLE Coupe (26.4 vs. 22.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

Transmission

The Purosangue offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The AMG GLE Coupe doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

The Purosangue’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The AMG GLE Coupe doesn’t offer launch control.

Tires and Wheels

The Purosangue’s 255/35R22 front and 315/30R23 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the AMG GLE Coupe’s standard 45 series front and 40 series rear tires. The Purosangue’s tires are lower profile than the AMG GLE Coupe’s optional 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Purosangue has standard 22-inch front and 23-inch rear wheels. Smaller 21-inch wheels are standard on the AMG GLE Coupe. The AMG GLE Coupe’s largest wheels are only 22-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires optional on the Purosangue can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The AMG GLE Coupe doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

Suspension and Handling

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the Purosangue’s wheelbase is 3.2 inches longer than on the AMG GLE Coupe (118.8 inches vs. 115.6 inches).

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Purosangue is 2 inches wider in the front than the average track on the AMG GLE Coupe.

Chassis

The Ferrari Purosangue may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 800 to 1100 pounds less than the Mercedes AMG GLE Coupe.

Passenger Space

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Purosangue’s rear seats recline. The AMG GLE Coupe’s rear seats don’t recline.

Ergonomics

Both the Purosangue and the AMG GLE Coupe offer optional massaging front seats. The Purosangue also has standard massaging rear seats in order to maximize comfort and eliminate fatigue on long trips. Massaging rear seats aren’t available in the AMG GLE Coupe.
