The Purosangue has a standard blind spot warning system that uses sensors to alert the driver to objects in the vehicle’s blind spots where the side view mirrors don’t reveal them. A system to reveal vehicles in the Urus’ blind spot costs extra.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Purosangue has standard Rear Cross Traffic Alert, helping the driver avoid collisions. Lamborghini charges extra for Rear Cross-Traffic Assist on the Urus.

The Purosangue’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Urus doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the Purosangue and the Urus have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes and rearview cameras.

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the Purosangue for 2 years and unlimited miles longer than Lamborghini pays for maintenance for the Urus (7/unlimited vs. 5/75000).

The Purosangue’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 58 more horsepower (715 vs. 657) than the Urus’ 4.0 turbo V8.

The Purosangue has 3.9 gallons more fuel capacity than the Urus (26.4 vs. 22.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The Purosangue offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The Urus doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Purosangue is 1.3 inches wider in the front and .3 inches wider in the rear than the average track on the Urus.

The Purosangue’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (49% to 51%) than the Urus’ (58% to 42%). This gives the Purosangue more stable handling and braking.

The Ferrari Purosangue may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 250 to 350 pounds less than the Lamborghini Urus.

The Purosangue is 5.5 inches shorter than the Urus S, making the Purosangue easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.
