Compare the2024 Ferrari Purosangue VS 2024 Aston Martin DBX

The Purosangue’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The DBX doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

The Purosangue has standard GPS Response System, which uses a global positioning satellite (GPS) receiver and a cellular system to send emergency personnel to the scene if any airbags deploy. The DBX doesn’t offer a GPS response system, only a navigation computer with no live response for emergencies, so if you’re involved in an accident and you’re incapacitated help may not come as quickly.

Both the Purosangue and the DBX have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, rearview cameras and rear cross-path warning.

Ferrari pays for scheduled maintenance on the Purosangue for 7 years and unlimited miles. Ferrari will pay for oil changes, air filter replacements, cabin filter replacement, brake fluid replacement, inspections, and any other required maintenance. Aston Martin doesn’t pay scheduled maintenance for the DBX.

The Purosangue’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 173 more horsepower (715 vs. 542) and 12 lbs.-ft. more torque (528 vs. 516) than the DBX’s standard 4.0 turbo V8. The Purosangue’s 6.5 DOHC V12 produces 18 more horsepower (715 vs. 697) than the DBX707’s standard 4.0 turbo V8.

The Purosangue has 3.9 gallons more fuel capacity than the DBX (26.4 vs. 22.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

In its Green Vehicle Guide, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) rates the Ferrari Purosangue higher (6 out of 10) than the Aston Martin DBX (5). This means the Purosangue produces up to 6.9 pounds less smog-producing pollutants than the DBX every 15,000 miles.

The Purosangue offers a standard sequential manual gearbox (SMG). With no clutch pedal to worry about and a fully automatic mode, an SMG is much more efficient than a conventional automatic but just as easy to drive. The DBX doesn’t offer an SMG or a conventional manual transmission.

The Purosangue’s 255/35R22 front and 315/30R23 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the DBX’s standard 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Purosangue has standard 23-inch rear wheels. Smaller 22-inch wheels are standard on the DBX.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires optional on the Purosangue can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The DBX doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the Purosangue is 1.5 inches wider in the front and 2.2 inches wider in the rear than on the DBX.

The Purosangue’s front to rear weight distribution is more even (49% to 51%) than the DBX’s (52.7% to 47.3%). This gives the Purosangue more stable handling and braking.

The Ferrari Purosangue may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 450 to 650 pounds less than the Aston Martin DBX.

For enhanced passenger comfort on long trips the Purosangue’s rear seats recline. The DBX’s rear seats don’t recline.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the Purosangue has standard adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The DBX doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The Purosangue offers optional massaging front and standard massaging rear seats. Massaging seats aren’t available in the DBX.

To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Ferrari Purosangue has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. Wireless charging costs extra on the DBX.
