The DB12’s driver alert monitor detects an inattentive driver then sounds a warning and suggests a break. According to the NHTSA, drivers who fall asleep cause about 100,000 crashes and 1500 deaths a year. The Revuelto doesn’t offer a driver alert monitor.

Both the DB12 and the Revuelto have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

Reliability

The Revuelto’s redline is at 9500 RPM, which causes more engine wear, and a greater chance of a catastrophic engine failure. The DB12 has a 7000 RPM redline.

Fuel Economy and Range

In heavy traffic or at stoplights the DB12’s engine automatically turns off when the vehicle is stopped, saving fuel and reducing pollution. The engine is automatically restarted when the driver gets ready to move again. If the conditions warrant or the driver wishes, the system can be manually disabled at any time for the duration of a trip. The Revuelto doesn’t offer an automatic engine start/stop system.

Tires and Wheels

For better traction, the DB12 has larger front tires than the Revuelto (275/35R21 vs. 265/35R20). The DB12’s front tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Revuelto (275/35R21 vs. 265/30R21).

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the DB12 has standard 21-inch wheels. Smaller 20-inch front wheels are standard on the Revuelto.

Chassis

The DB12 is 8.8 inches shorter than the Revuelto, making the DB12 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

For excellent aerodynamics, the DB12 has standard flush composite headlights. The Revuelto has recessed headlights that spoil its aerodynamic shape and create extra drag.

Passenger Space

The DB12 has standard seating for 4 passengers; the Revuelto can only carry 2.

Cargo Capacity

To make loading groceries and cargo easier when your hands are full, the DB12’s trunk can be opened just by kicking your foot under the back bumper, leaving your hands completely free. The Revuelto doesn’t offer a hands-free gesture to open its trunk, forcing you to put cargo down if your hands are full.

Ergonomics

The DB12’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The Revuelto’s

The DB12’s Auto Parking can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, with the driver only controlling speed with the brake pedal. The Revuelto doesn’t offer an automated parking system.

Model Availability

The Aston Martin DB12 comes in coupe and convertible bodystyles; the Lamborghini Revuelto isn’t available as a convertible.
