Both the DB12 and the LC have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver and front passenger knee airbags, front seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

Safety
Warranty
The DB12 comes with a full 3-year/unlimited-mile basic warranty, which covers the entire car and includes free 24-hour roadside assistance. The LC’s 50,000-mile basic warranty expires sooner.
The DB12’s corrosion warranty is 4 years longer than the LC’s (10 vs. 6 years).
Engine
The DB12’s 4.0 turbo V8 produces 317 more horsepower (671 vs. 354) and 240 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 350) than the LC 500h’s standard 3.5 DOHC V6 hybrid. The DB12’s 4.0 turbo V8 produces 200 more horsepower (671 vs. 471) and 192 lbs.-ft. more torque (590 vs. 398) than the LC 500’s standard 5.0 DOHC V8.
Fuel Economy and Range
Both the DB12 and the LC Hybrid have a standard automatic start/stop engine feature to stop unnecessary fuel waste and pollution at stoplights and heavy traffic. All DB12s have a standard disable switch for the system, so a driver can keep the engine from shutting off when the vehicle stops temporarily.
Transmission
The DB12’s launch control uses engine electronics to hold engine RPM’s precisely in order to provide the most stable and rapid acceleration possible, using all of the available traction. The LC doesn’t offer launch control.
Brakes and Stopping
The DB12 offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The LC doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.
Tires and Wheels
For better traction, the DB12 has larger tires than the LC (F:275/35R21 & R:325/30R21 vs. F:245/45R20 & R:275/40R20).
The DB12’s 275/35R21 front and 325/30R21 rear tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series front and 30 series rear profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the LC’s standard 45 series front and 40 series rear tires. The DB12’s tires are lower profile than the LC’s optional 40 series front and 35 series rear tires.
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the DB12 has standard 21-inch wheels. Smaller 20-inch wheels are standard on the LC.
Suspension and Handling
For better handling and stability, the track (width between the wheels) on the DB12 is 1.4 inches wider in the front and .6 inches wider in the rear than on the LC.
Chassis
The Aston Martin DB12 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 650 to 850 pounds less than the Lexus LC.
Passenger Space
The DB12 Coupe has 1.4 inches more front headroom and 3.1 inches more front legroom than the LC.
Cargo Capacity
The DB12 Coupe has a much larger trunk than the LC (9.3 vs. 5.4 cubic feet).
To make loading groceries and cargo easier when your hands are full, the DB12’s trunk can be opened just by kicking your foot under the back bumper, leaving your hands completely free. The LC doesn’t offer a hands-free gesture to open its trunk, forcing you to put cargo down if your hands are full.
Ergonomics
Unlike the driver-only memory system in the LC, the DB12 has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.
In case of a sudden change of weather, the DB12 has a standard remote convertible top that can be raised from a distance to protect the interior of the vehicle from damage. On a hot day the DB12 has a standard remote opening feature, to lower the top from outside. The LC doesn’t offer a remote top, so the driver will have to run to the car, get in, turn the ignition on and raise the top to prevent the interior from being damaged.
The LC’s cornering lamps activate a lamp on the front corner when the turn signal is activated. The DB12’s standard adaptive cornering lights turn the actual headlight unit up to several degrees, depending on steering wheel angle and vehicle speed. This lights a significant distance into corners at any speed.
When the DB12 is put in reverse, the passenger rearview mirror tilts from its original position. This gives the driver a better view of the curb during parallel parking maneuvers. Shifting out of reverse puts the mirror into its original position. The LC’s mirror doesn’t automatically adjust for backing.
To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Aston Martin DB12 has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. The LC doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.
The DB12’s Auto Parking can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, with the driver only controlling speed with the brake pedal. The LC doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
