When three different drivers share the DB12, the memory system makes it convenient for all three. Each setting activates different, customized memories for the driver and front passenger’s seat positions, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer a memory system.
The DB12’s front power windows open or close with one touch of the switches, making it more convenient at drive-up windows and toll booths, or when talking with someone outside of the car. The Daytona SP3’s front passenger window doesn’t close automatically.
The DB12’s standard power window controls are mounted on the armrest for easy access. The Daytona SP3’s available power window controls are spread out on the center console where they can’t be seen without the driver completely removing his eyes from the road.
If the windows are left open on the DB12 the driver can close them all from a distance using the remote. On a hot day the driver can also lower the windows the same way. The driver of the Daytona SP3 can only operate the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.
In case of a sudden change of weather, the DB12 has a standard remote convertible top that can be raised from a distance to protect the interior of the vehicle from damage. On a hot day the DB12 has a standard remote opening feature, to lower the top from outside. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer a remote top, so the driver will have to run to the car, get in, turn the ignition on and raise the top to prevent the interior from being damaged.
Keyless Entry and Go standard on the DB12 allows you to unlock the driver’s door, trunk and start the engine all without removing a key from pocket or purse. This eliminates searching for keys before loading groceries, getting in the vehicle in bad weather or making a hurried start to your trip. The Ferrari Daytona SP3’s Keyless Start doesn’t unlock the doors or the trunk.
While driving with high beams on, sensitive light sensors standard on the DB12 detect other vehicles which could be blinded and automatically switch to low beams. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer automatic dimming high beams.
Optional air-conditioned seats in the DB12 keep the driver and front passenger comfortable and take the sting out of hot seats in Summer. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer air-conditioned seats.
On extremely cold winter days, the DB12’s optional heated steering wheel provides comfort, allowing the driver to steer safely and comfortably before the car heater warms up. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer a heated steering wheel.
The DB12 has a standard center folding armrest for the driver and front passenger. A center armrest helps combat driver fatigue. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer a front seat center armrest.
To keep a safe, consistent following distance, the DB12 has a standard Adaptive Cruise Control, which alters the speed of the vehicle without driver intervention. This allows the driver to use cruise control more safely without constantly having to disengage it when approaching slower traffic. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer an adaptive cruise control.
The DB12’s standard separate stalk mounted cruise control on/off switch is conveniently located with the rest of the cruise controls. The Daytona SP3’s standard cruise control must be turned on with a hard to find switch on the dashboard.
The DB12’s standard GPS navigation system has a real-time traffic update feature that plots alternative routes to automatically bypass traffic problems. (Service not available in all areas.) The Daytona SP3’s navigation system doesn’t offer real-time traffic updates.
To quickly and conveniently keep personal devices charged without cables tangling and wearing out, the Aston Martin DB12 has a standard wireless phone charging system (Qi) in the center console. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer wireless personal charging.
The DB12’s Auto Parking can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, with the driver only controlling speed with the brake pedal. The Daytona SP3 doesn’t offer an automated parking system.
