Both the Range Rover Evoque and NX have child safety locks to prevent children from opening the rear doors. The Range Rover Evoque has power child safety locks, allowing the driver to activate and deactivate them from the driver's seat and to know when they're engaged. The NX’s child locks have to be individually engaged at each rear door with a manual switch. The driver can’t know the status of the locks without opening the doors and checking them.

To provide maximum traction and stability on all roads, All-Wheel Drive is standard on the Range Rover Evoque. But it costs extra on the NX.

To help make backing out of a parking space safer, the Range Rover Evoque has standard Rear Traffic Monitor with Rear Traffic Braking, systems which detect vehicles approaching from the sides and can automatically apply the brakes to prevent a collision. Parking Support Brake costs extra on the NX.

The Range Rover Evoque’s 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder produces 43 more horsepower (246 vs. 203) and 85 lbs.-ft. more torque (269 vs. 184) than the NX 250’s standard 2.5 DOHC 4-cylinder. The Range Rover Evoque’s 2.0 turbo 4-cylinder produces 6 more horsepower (246 vs. 240) than the NX 350h’s standard 2.5 DOHC 4-cylinder hybrid.

Both the Range Rover Evoque and the NX have a standard automatic start/stop engine feature to stop unnecessary fuel waste and pollution at stoplights and heavy traffic. All Range Rover Evoque’s have a standard disable switch for the system, so a driver can keep the engine from shutting off when the vehicle stops temporarily. The NX 350h/450h+ doesn’t offer a way to disable start/stop.

The Range Rover Evoque has 3.2 gallons more fuel capacity than the NX (17.7 vs. 14.5 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The design of the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque amounts to more than styling. The Range Rover Evoque has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .33 Cd. That is lower than the NX (.35) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the Range Rover Evoque get better fuel mileage.

The Range Rover Evoque has .6 inches more front headroom, .3 inches more front shoulder room and 1.4 inches more rear shoulder room than the NX.

When the lock on the Range Rover Evoque is engaged the driver can still operate all of the windows, for instance to close one opened by a child. The NX prevents the driver from operating the other windows just as it does the other passengers.

The Range Rover Evoque’s rain-sensitive wipers adjust their speed and turn on and off automatically based on the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This allows the driver to concentrate on driving without constantly adjusting the wipers. The NX’s standard manually variable intermittent wipers have to be constantly adjusted.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the Range Rover Evoque to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The NX doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.
