The EQE SUV has Car-to-X Communication, a system that seamlessly communicates important warnings to the driver about impending danger, if they're available. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer a system that can receive automated systems from infrastructure or other vehicles.

Both the EQE SUV and the Electrified GV70 have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, driver knee airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors, rear cross-path warning and driver alert monitors.

The EQE SUV AMG offers optional heat-treated ceramic brake rotors, which last ten to twenty times as long as conventional cast iron rotors, don’t rust, don’t fade during repeated high speed braking, and their lighter weight contribute to better braking, handling and acceleration. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer ceramic brake rotors.

The EQE SUV stops shorter than the Electrified GV70:

For better traction, the EQE SUV’s optional tires are larger than the largest tires available on the Electrified GV70 (275/40R21 vs. 265/45R20).

The AMG EQE SUV’s optional tires provide better handling because they have a lower 35 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Electrified GV70’s 45 series tires.

For better ride, handling and brake cooling the AMG EQE SUV offers optional 22-inch wheels. The Electrified GV70’s largest wheels are only 20-inches.

Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the EQE SUV can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The EQE SUV has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The EQE SUV’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer a load leveling suspension.

The EQE SUV’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

For a smoother ride and more stable handling, the EQE SUV’s wheelbase is 6.1 inches longer than on the Electrified GV70 (119.3 inches vs. 113.2 inches).

The AMG EQE SUV handles at .94 G’s, while the Electrified GV70 Prestige pulls only .83 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

The AMG EQE SUV executes Motor Trend’s “Figure Eight” maneuver 2.2 seconds quicker than the Electrified GV70 Prestige (24.1 seconds @ .82 average G’s vs. 26.3 seconds @ .74 average G’s).

For better maneuverability, the EQE SUV with rear wheel steering’s turning circle is 2.4 feet tighter than the Electrified GV70’s (35.4 feet vs. 37.8 feet).

The design of the Mercedes EQE SUV amounts to more than styling. The EQE SUV has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .26 Cd. That is lower than the Electrified GV70 (.29) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the EQE SUV get better fuel mileage.

The EQE SUV has 3.1 inches more front headroom, 1.1 inches more rear headroom, 4 inches more rear legroom and .1 inches more rear shoulder room than the Electrified GV70.

Maximum trailer towing in the Genesis Electrified GV70 is limited to 3500 pounds. The EQE SUV offers up to a 4000 lbs. towing capacity.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the Electrified GV70, the EQE SUV has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

If the windows are left open on the EQE SUV the driver can close them all at the outside door handle or from a distance using the remote (remote must be aimed at door sensor). On a hot day the driver can lower the windows from a distance using the keyless remote. The driver of the Electrified GV70 can only close the windows from inside the vehicle, with the ignition on.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are optional on the EQE SUV to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.

To help drivers see further while navigating curves, the EQE SUV offers optional adaptive headlights to illuminate around corners automatically by reading vehicle speed and steering wheel angle. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer cornering lights.

The EQE SUV is available in both rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive configurations. The Electrified GV70 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
