When descending a steep, off-road slope, the XF’s standard All Surface Progress Control allows you to creep down safely. The S90 doesn’t offer All Surface Progress Control.

Power ranks Jaguar above average in initial quality. With 65 more problems per 100 vehicles, Volvo is rated below average.

Power and Associates’ 2022 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Jaguar vehicles are more reliable than Volvo With 23 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Jaguar higher than Volvo.

The XF has 3.6 gallons more fuel capacity than the S90 (19.5 vs. 15.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

The front and rear suspension of the XF uses coil springs for better ride, handling and control than the S90, which uses transverse leafs springs in the rear. Coil springs compress more progressively and offer more suspension travel for a smoother ride with less bottoming out.

The Jaguar XF may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 650 to 850 pounds less than the Volvo S90.

The XF is 4.7 inches shorter than the S90, making the XF easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.

The XF has .4 inches more rear headroom and 1 inch more rear shoulder room than the S90.
