Tires and Wheels
The Ioniq 6 SEL/Limited’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Electrified G80’s 45 series front tires.
For better ride, handling and brake cooling the Ioniq 6 SEL/Limited has standard 20-inch wheels. The Electrified G80’s largest wheels are only 19-inches.
The Ioniq 6 has a standard easy tire fill system. When inflating the tires, the vehicle’s integrated tire pressure sensors keep track of the pressure as the tires fill and tell the driver when the tires are inflated to the proper pressure. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer vehicle monitored tire inflation.

The Hyundai Ioniq 6 may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 400 to 1100 pounds less than the Genesis Electrified G80.
The Ioniq 6 is 5.9 inches shorter than the Electrified G80, making the Ioniq 6 easier to handle, maneuver and park in tight spaces.
The design of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 amounts to more than styling. The Ioniq 6 has an aerodynamic coefficient of drag of .22 Cd. That is significantly lower than the Electrified G80 (.26) and many sports cars. A more efficient exterior helps keep the interior quieter and helps the Ioniq 6 get better fuel mileage.
The front grille of the Ioniq 6 uses electronically controlled shutters to close off airflow and reduce drag when less engine cooling is needed. This helps improve highway fuel economy. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer active grille shutters.

Ergonomics
The Ioniq 6 Limited has a 115-volt a/c outlet on the rear seat, allowing you to recharge a laptop or run small household appliances without special adapters that can break or get misplaced. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a house-current electrical outlet.
Model Availability
The Ioniq 6 is available in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations. The Electrified G80 doesn’t offer a two-wheel drive configuration.
