Changing a flat tire near traffic can be dangerous and inconvenient. The run-flat tires available on the AMG GLC Coupe can be driven up to 50 miles without any air pressure, allowing you to drive to a service station for a repair. The X4 M doesn’t offer run-flat tires.

The front and rear suspension of the AMG GLC Coupe uses air springs for a smoother, controlled ride than the X4 M, which uses coil springs. Air springs maintain proper ride height and ride more smoothly.

The AMG GLC Coupe has a standard automatic front and rear load leveling suspension to keep ride height level with a heavy load or when towing. The AMG GLC Coupe’s height leveling suspension allows the driver to raise ride height for better off-road clearance and then lower it again for easier entering and exiting and better on-road handling. The AMG GLC Coupe’s drift compensation steering can automatically compensate for road conditions which would cause the vehicle to drift from side to side, helping the driver to keep the vehicle straight more easily. The X4 M doesn’t offer drift compensation steering.

For better maneuverability, the AMG GLC Coupe’s turning circle is 1.7 feet tighter than the X4 M’s (39.7 feet vs. 41.4 feet).

The Mercedes AMG GLC Coupe may be more efficient, handle and accelerate better because it weighs about 350 pounds less than the BMW X4 M.

The AMG GLC Coupe has .1 inches more front legroom, .8 inches more rear headroom, 1.7 inches more rear legroom and .5 inches more rear shoulder room than the X4 M.

Optional Trailer Stability Assist on the AMG GLC Coupe uses the Electronic Stability Program sensors to detect trailer sway, then uses individual brakes to counteract any swaying and help keep the tow vehicle and trailer steady. The X4 M doesn’t offer electronic trailer sway control.

Unlike the driver-only memory system in the X4 M, the AMG GLC Coupe has standard driver and passenger memory, so that when drivers switch, the memory setting adjusts the driver’s seat, steering wheel position and outside mirror angle and the front passenger seat also adjusts to the new passenger’s preset preferences.

The AMG GLC Coupe’s standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel and glides the driver’s seat back, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The X4 M doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

Heated windshield washer nozzles are standard on the AMG GLC Coupe to prevent washer fluid and nozzles from freezing and help continue to keep the windshield clear in sub-freezing temperatures. The X4 M doesn’t offer heated windshield washer nozzles.
