For enhanced safety, the front seat shoulder belts of the Audi SQ7 are height-adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of driver and passenger heights. A better fit can prevent injuries and the increased comfort also encourages passengers to buckle up. The Land Rover Range Rover doesn’t offer height-adjustable seat belts.

The SQ7 has a standard Secondary Collision Brake Assist, which automatically applies the brakes in the event of a crash to help prevent secondary collisions and prevent further injuries. The Range Rover doesn’t offer a post collision braking system: in the event of a collision that triggers the airbags, more collisions are possible without the protection of airbags that may have already deployed.

A passive infrared night vision system optional on the SQ7 Prestige helps the driver to more easily detect people, animals or other objects in front of the vehicle at night. Using an infrared camera to detect heat, the system then displays the image on a monitor in the dashboard. The Range Rover doesn’t offer a night vision system.

Both the SQ7 and the Range Rover have standard driver and passenger frontal airbags, front side-impact airbags, side-impact head airbags, front and rear seatbelt pretensioners, four-wheel antilock brakes, all wheel drive, traction control, electronic stability systems to prevent skidding, crash mitigating brakes, daytime running lights, lane departure warning systems, blind spot warning systems, around view monitors and rear cross-path warning.

The SQ7’s corrosion warranty is 6 years longer than the Range Rover’s (12 vs. 6 years).

There are over 53 percent more Audi dealers than there are Land Rover dealers, which makes it much easier should you ever need service under the SQ7’s warranty.

Power and Associates’ 2022 survey of the owners of three-year-old vehicles provides the long-term dependability statistics that show that Audi vehicles are more reliable than Land Rover With 52 fewer problems per 100 vehicles in the first three years of ownership, J.D. Power ranks Audi higher than Land Rover.

The SQ7’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 105 more horsepower (500 vs. 395) and 162 lbs.-ft. more torque (568 vs. 406) than the Range Rover P400’s standard 3.0 turbo/supercharged 6-cylinder hybrid. The SQ7’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 66 more horsepower (500 vs. 434) and 111 lbs.-ft. more torque (568 vs. 457) than the Range Rover P440e’s standard 3.0 turbo/supercharged 6-cylinder hybrid. The SQ7’s 4.0 turbo V8 hybrid produces 15 lbs.-ft. more torque (568 vs. 553) than the Range Rover P530’s standard 4.4 turbo V8.

The SQ7 has 3.6 gallons more fuel capacity than the Range Rover 440e PHEV’s standard fuel tank (22.5 vs. 18.9 gallons), for longer range between fill-ups.

For better traction, the SQ7 has larger tires than the Range Rover (285/40R21 vs. 275/50R21).

The SQ7’s tires provide better handling because they have a lower 40 series profile (height to width ratio) that provides a stiffer sidewall than the Range Rover’s standard 50 series tires.

The SQ7 offers an available adjustable active suspension system, which counteracts cornering forces actively, limiting body roll and improving handling and stability. Land Rover doesn’t offer an active suspension on the Range Rover.

The SQ7 Premium Plus handles at .91 G’s, while the Range Rover LWB SE pulls only .74 G’s of cornering force in a Motor Trend skidpad test.

J.D. Power and Associates surveys of service recipients show that Audi service is better than Land Rover. J.D. Power ranks Audi 8th in service department satisfaction (above the industry average). With a 50% lower rating, Land Rover is ranked 30th.

The SQ7’s standard easy entry system raises the steering wheel, making it easier for the driver to get in and out. The Range Rover doesn’t offer an easy entry system.

Laser headlights, standard on the SQ7 Prestige, produce their light by firing blue lasers through phosphorus, a process that uses one-half the power of the Range Rover’s LED headlights. Laser headlights can have double the range of LEDs with a much smaller surface area.

To help drivers avoid possible obstacles, the SQ7 has standard cornering lights to illuminate around corners when the turn signals are activated. The Range Rover doesn’t offer cornering lights.

To shield the driver and front passenger’s vision over a larger portion of the windshield and side windows, the SQ7 has standard extendable sun visors. The Range Rover doesn’t offer extendable visors.

A manual rear sunshade and rear side window sunshades are optional in the SQ7 to help block heat and glare for the rear passengers. The Range Rover doesn’t offer a rear sunshade.

The SQ7 Prestige’s Park Assist Plus can parallel park or back into a parking spot by itself, starting, stopping and changing direction automatically. Remote Park Assist Plus will park and retrieve your car remotely: press a button and watch it park itself. This is ideal for tight locations. The Range Rover’s automatic parking system does not offer parking by remote control.
